Dr. Anu Mongia relocated to Georgia, in 2005, from New Jersey. She accompanied her husband who accepted a position as an Infectious Disease specialist at Cartersville Medical Center. She completed her medical training at University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ).
Dr. Mongia completed her internal medicine residency (1999-2002) at UMDNJ and served as Chief Medical Resident in her final year. She had a special interest in immunology, asthma and allergic diseases and decided to pursue a career in allergy and immunology.
During her fellowship in Allergy and Immunology (2002-2004), she became board certified in Internal Medicine. She presented numerous abstracts at national allergy meetings, with primary focus on allergic conjunctivitis and immunotherapy. She also published and reviewed articles for allergy journals. In her final year, she served as Chief Allergy Fellow.
Upon completion of her fellowship in 2004, Dr. Mongia and her husband decided to move their growing family to Georgia. After taking some time off she started her solo practice in Cartersville in 2006, and has recently added a second office in Kennesaw / Acworth. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her three children, traveling, cooking and socializing with friends and family.
