Thank you for visiting my profile. I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a PsyD in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology at Argosy University, Chicago, and several years of experience working with a wide range of ages, from children to adults, both individually and with families, addressing a broad range of presenting concerns. My interests and experiences include mood and anxiety disorders, mild substance use concerns, adjustment to life transitions (e.g., returning to school, pregnancy and postpartum, loss of or new relationships), trauma, and PTSD. I have specialized training in Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), an evidence-based treatment for PTSD. I firmly believe that individuals strive for self-fulfillment and have inherent strengths that, when encouraged, can help them achieve their goals. I bring a unique perspective to therapy as a Filipina/White clinician who identifies with the LGBTQ community, and I think that discussions of diversity are an important aspect of the healing process. I typically utilize a client-centered approach to foster a supportive environment that honors clients’ rights and allows for positive change to occur. Additionally, I integrate cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) interventions and other evidence-based treatments as needed for each individual, personalizing treatment plans. My past work and training experiences include providing therapy services at an outpatient clinic, a college counseling center, adult inpatient psychiatric settings, a rape crisis center, and a juvenile offender probation program. I have also served in various roles at Advocate Illinois Masonic Medical Center’s (AIMMC) Behavioral Health Services.
