About Dr. Archana Narayan

Dr. Archana Narayan joined North Texas Allergy and Asthma Associates in 2016. She was born and raised in upstate New York where she graduated with a double degree in biochemistry and religion from the University of Rochester. After medical school, she trained in general pediatrics at the Maria Fareri Children's Hospital at New York Medical College. Dr. Narayan then completed a fellowship in Allergy and Immunology in Long Island, NY at Nassau University Medical Center (affiliated with SUNY Stonybrook). During her training there, she was awarded the 2005 American College of Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Second Place Clemens von Pirquet Award for best research in Allergy and Immunology. After fellowship, Dr. Narayan moved to the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois where she practiced for several years at an Allergy and Asthma specialty group. In January 2016, she relocated to the Dallas area to be close to her extended family (and to escape the harsh winters) and is thrilled to call herself a new Texan! Dr. Narayan welcomes both pediatric and adult patients. Her areas of interest include asthma, allergic rhinitis, sinusitis, eczema, and food allergies. She believes in personalizing medical treatments based on each patient's lifestyle, so as to obtain the best possible outcome for that individual. In her free time, she enjoys dancing (she has a degree in Indian classical dance), yoga, reading and spending time with her family.
