About Dr. Ari Weitzner
PLEASE NOTE: Dr. Weitzner does not fit or script contact lenses. I am a board certified ophthalmologist practicing general ophthalmology in private practice for over 20 years. For ten years, I taught part time at the ophthalmology program at Kings County Hospital, where I supervised residents in the clinic and operating room, focusing on challenging medical and surgical cases. I apply this experience to the benefit of my private patients, where I tackle difficult cases and adopt the latest techniques, including multifocal and astigmatic strategies for cataract and astigmatism, implant exchange and I-Stent for glaucoma. I live by the highest ethical standards- doing anything to a patient for the sake of making more money violates everything I believe in as a human being. Some implants and lasers can have side effects and cost thousands of dollars, and many patients are not good candidates- that's when having an honest ophthalmologist really comes in handy. Our office is a large, state-of-the-art facility with the latest in electronic records, diagnostic testing and lasers. We have trained technicians, optometrists, an elegant optical service, and we have several sub-specialists, so that we can provide comprehensive excellence. I look forward to seeing you!

Patient reviews for Dr. Ari Weitzner
Minimal wait time, reception was very friendly, doctor was very nice and personable and professional. 5 stars!
Excellent service. Great doctor.

Excellent
quick, professional, easy. very happy with the whole experience.
Excellent doctor!
Great efficuent and friendly doctor
I was able to be in and out quick (less than 30~40 mins) and the doctor looked through my issue thoroughly. Now the issue is resolved.
Very brash. Told me my symptoms that I said I was scared about were as common as dirt, zero empathy.
Great experience!
Super easy to set up appt. Hardly any wait time Doctor was very pleasant as was staff.
Excellent service
This is my second time in 3 years seeing Dr. Ari. I quite like him. He addressed my concerns in a thoughtful manner and he's super pleasant to talk to. I am near sighted, don't wear glasses but I can't see that well from a distance and I was concerned that if I don't start wearing them soon, it will get worse (I am 38). I can drive perfectly and can read the signs as I am driving so no real need for glasses right away. It was a super quick visit because I don't have any major issues but he explained everything so well. I went in the afternoon and was taken in right away.
He is a very nice, caring and professional doctor. The best! Wait time is minimal. Many insurances accepted.
Staff were courteous and professional. We were seen almost immediately after front desk paperwork. Doctor was knowledgeable and answered all questions
Was able to meet Dr. Weitzner himself. Very patient and knowledgeable. Answered all concerns. Great experience.
Very informative, kind and to the point.
Dr. Weitzner was great. To the point and didn’t waste my time. Great location, friendly staff.
Dr Weitzner helped me get a grip on my recurrent chalazion situation. So happy!
He’s very professional, thorough and pleasant as is his staff.
Very perfunctory visit where he basically told me there was nothing he could do for my condition. Very different experience with other doctors who treated me for the same condition. Not a great use of my time as a patient.
It was excellent. The staff was professional I feel comfortable.
It was my first visit with Dr. Weitzner. I went for a standard checkup, so I only saw him for ~10 minutes, but he was friendly and attentive, answered all of my questions, and didn't seem rushed at all (despite office being quite busy).
Dr. Prescribed something not accepted on my insurance after I explicitly asked if it was covered. Once it was denied I called to have the prescription changed. No one returned my call.
Very friendly staff. Very systematic. Very good consult w doctor. Will come back when the eye stops working.
Very professional, would recommend
useless doctor. was not helpful at all. strange attitude. felt like he hated his job. maybe he is ok just for general check up but definitely not the doctor if you have eye problems.
he was good. unfportunately i fell and crushed my knee so i wont be ambulatory for a few months. i plan to see him again.
Great doctor. Honestly and friendly.
Professional and effective office. Dr was communicative and thorough. Pleasant experience. I will go again if needed.
He was super efficient, and he got rid of my chalazion! Really straight to the point, really nice. No wait time. But! I almost fainted in the waiting room (just nervous when it comes to needles) and none of the secretaries checked if I was alright lol
Awesome. Knowledgeable, friendly and compassionate. A great doctor. Great staff. I highly recommend.
Very rude
Very professional demeanor. Provided practical advice for managing my eye care.
He was quick to diagnose what I already had thought it would be. Very honest and to the point and got the job done. I would go back to this doctor if I had an issue with my eyes again! Everyone on the office is very friendly as well!
On time, professional and helpful. will come back when needed.
Knowledgeable staff and the doctor is very patient.
Excellent doctor, friendly and competent
I loved him!
Very proffesional and nice
One of the most knowledgeable and co dude that’s Drs in the field. You know your getting a proper treatment or diagnosis with dr Ari as well as a pleasant professional character
Excellent professional. Got right to it!
Overall it went well and he was able to quickly diagnose and provide treatment to resolve my issue (chalazion on eyelid). The whole appointment felt a little impersonal and rushed and this is definitely not a small family practice, but honestly I was just happy to find someone who was available right away and so so happy to have that thing off my eyelid within a few days!
Very good doctor. Addressed my issue and explained things wel.
The appointment with Dr Ari Weitzner, Was for my mom, once again Zocdoc has place amazing doctor o. There site. He made my mom an, I very comfortable . He's a doctor that, teaches other Doctors enough said... I highly recommend Dr Ari Wietzner.
Great!
Dr Weitzner is nice and the process is quick and efficient!
Superb
Friendly staff, clean office, and almost no wait time!
Doctor Ari Weitzner has a long time experience and could assess my eye issue quickly and correctly. He was a bit curt on the first visit, but very supportive the second time I had to see him. -- One issue, not about the doctor himself: there's a lovely, caring and knowledgeable technician that wears too much perfume. I am sensitive to scents and my eyes started watering during her assessment of my eyes. I couldn't wait for her to leave. I wish the doctor's office would address this issue. Thank you.
