Dr. Arthur Benjamin is one of California's leading ophthalmologists. He is a comprehensive eye physician and surgeon, Board Certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. Dr. Benjamin specializes in cataract and all-laser LASIK surgery. He was one of the first ophthalmologists in Los Angeles to perform the innovative AcrySof ReSTOR IOL procedure, which offers cataract sufferers and presbyopic patients restoration of normal vision without the use of reading glasses or prescription lenses. Dr. Benjamin is a leader in multifocal lens implantation in Los Angeles. Since opening his private practice, he has become one of the most reputable and respected ophthalmologists worldwide.
Dr. Benjamin earned his Bachelor's degree from Cornell University and received his Doctor of Medicine from Duke University. He completed his internship at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center and his residency in ophthalmology at the University of California, Los Angeles, Jules Stein Eye Institute.

One of my top worst experiences with a doctor. No bedside manner at all. It was my first time at an eye doctor and I came in with a lot of pain. His consultation left me confused, overwhelmed and belittled. That being said - every other person at that office was an absolute gem. The sweetest, most protective women I've come across in a doctor's office. I cried numerous times and they took the time to explain things to me respectfully, hear my concerns and even give me hugs. I walked away with solutions and hope for humanity. But none of that was due to the doctor himself, who seemed genuinely angry that I had any issues with him.

I waited nearly 30-45 minutes in the waiting room before I was seen. The entire appointment from start to finish was 2 hours and 15minutes because. Which seems way too long. I went in with concerns about my vision, as I have severe dry eye. I was laughed at when I told Dr. Benjamin what my previous scan showed at the optometrist. When he came in the room he was voice texting his staff in the room about other patients for a good 5-10 minutes while I just sat there. There was ZERO bedside manner. He complained about spending time talking to me. I felt I still had no answers and he was just tying to sell me on some kind of laser treatment that isn't covered by insurance. I do not recommend this provider.

Dr. Benjamin and his entire team were incredible from the start. I went in after 5 years of not seeing an eye doctor, and was blown away by how thorough and thoughtful they were.
They use top of the line equipment to diagnose and treat their patients. I left feeling very well cared for. I cannot recommend them enough.

Dr Benjamin is a class act! I felt that I would be in amazing hands as soon as I walked in to office and I was.
His staff was wonderful and great at their jobs and Dr Benjamin gave me the most thorough visit I have ever had in my life and then took the time to explain everything to me.
I feel safe in his hands and he has a lifelong client in me now.

This was a great experience. I had to call from the road because traffic was making us run late… the response was so gracious and understanding I already felt comfortable.
Once there, parking was easy, office easy to find. I was welcomed by very sweet front desk person who gave me any help I needed with the paperwork
The office is huge and looks very well equipped with cutting edge equipment, some of which was used to diagnose my problem ??
Every person there was very attentive and I was given a definite diagnosis with options for treatment. We started with a simple step and a follow-up appointment was made.
I would definitely recommend this office and doctorto anyone.

I didn’t get to see Dr. Benjamin. The tech & another Dr. in the ofc were kind & attentive, but the appt went on & on and I still hadn’t seen Dr. Benjamin after more than a couple hours had passed. I had other obligations & finally had to leave. I’d been given some scary news about a newly diagnosed problem with my eyes & an abnormality/anomaly with my vision Rx & I was hoping to get some insight & guidance from Dr B. I understand that an ofc practice can be busy at times, but in anticipation of that I would suggest lightening the # of patients booked. I left feeling uneasy & feeling I need to go see another physician to get both clarification of & a 2nd opinion of the problem I was told I have and to recheck my eyes for a correct vision Rx. I hope my insurance will cover another visit because this one only left me with the need for another one. And quite frankly, this practice seemed hyper focused on money making issues, e.g. a half dozen texts warning of a missed appt fee. Doubt they would bring me back free of charge. Don’t know if I want to ask. Very disappointed.

Possibly the most rude doctor I’ve ever met. I’ve never been spoken to in this manner by someone who is supposed to be a professional. I felt as though I was being judged as person of color and a young adult and he didn’t take me seriously at all. Will never visit the office again.

Dr. Benjamin not only diagnosed and treated my condition, but explained it visually so I could "see" what had caused my symptoms. He has a good sense of humor, too, which was very welcome during my procedure.
