He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Washington, then went on to complete his Doctor of Optometry training at Pacific University College of Optometry in Oregon. Recently returning to Oregon, Dr. Monghate previously practiced optometry on a remote island in the South Pacific, where he was one of only three eye doctors serving thousands of residents. This unique experience has equipped him with a broad skill set and deep commitment to serving his community.
