“I was surprised during my appointment that I was going to be seen by a different doctor than I had booked my original appointment with. I had booked a Saturday appointment but the site indicated there were available appointments today so I called the office to check the available times since I had another doctor’s appointment. They were able to give me a time that would work for me so I took it but they never mentioned it was with a different doctor. Dr. Joly was very nice and very helpful. I would see her again without hesitation but I do wish they had told me ahead of time. All the staff that I interacted with were very, very nice and excellent at their jobs. I definitely recommend this practice. The overall experience was excellent.”

About Dr. Austin Taylor
Austin L. Taylor, O.D., earned his Doctor of Optometry from Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry in Glendale, Arizona, in 2023. Before that, he obtained his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia, in 2018.
Throughout his academic journey, Austin received several scholarships and grants, including the Joe Frazier Scholarship, the HOPE Grant from the Government of Georgia, and the Satilla REA Scholarship.
Austin also completed additional training, such as Basic Life Support training from the American Heart Association and various optometric skills training at Midwestern University Arizona College of Optometry.
He gained experience as an Optometry Technician at Eye Tech Eyes and also worked as a Challenge Course Facilitator at Georgia Outdoor Recreation.
Austin completed internships at Midwestern University Eye Institute, Batavia VA Medical Center, Eye Centers of South Florida, and Edwin Y. Endo, OD and Associates, where he gained valuable clinical experience. Additionally, he dedicated his time to volunteer work with UGA Heroes and Sandy Creek Conservation Park.
