About Dr. Austin Tocco

Austin Tocco, O.D., earned his Doctor of Optometry from Indiana University Bloomington's School of Optometry, graduating with honors in May 2022. He also holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from West Virginia University. Dr. Tocco specializes in ocular disease and contact lenses, providing comprehensive eye examinations for patients of all ages. His decision to become an optometrist was inspired by his desire to help people in need and to follow in the footsteps of his cousin and uncle, who are also optometrists. One of Dr. Tocco’s favorite parts of being an optometrist is seeing the joy on his patients’ faces when they first wear their new glasses. He takes pride in working alongside a great staff and building friendships at Gateway Eye Associates. In his free time, Dr. Tocco enjoys exploring Pittsburgh with his wife. As an avid Pittsburgh sports fan, you can often find him cheering on the Black and Gold, especially on Sundays. He is dedicated to providing proper care to his patients and is proud to practice close to his hometown.
