About Dr. Ayesha Butt
Dr Ayesha Butt grew up in Toronto, Canada. She graduated with honors from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Science degree in Cell and Molecular Biology. She studied Optometry at the University of Waterloo, School of Optometry and Vision Science, Canada. At the University of Waterloo, she earned distinction, special recognition, and clinical excellence awards for soft and rigid contact lenses.
Dr Butt is certified by the National Board of Examiners in Optometry and the Texas state Optometry Board. She offers full eye exams and medical exams. She prescribes glasses, soft contact lenses and rigid gas permeable contact lenses. She loves working with children. Unlike the typical children exam that you might receive elsewhere, she also assesses binocular vision, where the vision might be 20/20 in each eye but both eyes do not work together. This condition can cause eyestrain when reading, headaches, and loss of 3D vision.
As a therapeutic optometrist she is actively involved with the management of dry eyes, ocular infections and allergies. She is also an optometric glaucoma specialist who has gained most of her clinical externship experience in Houston while diagnosing and managing diabetic retinopathy, glaucoma, and age related macular degeneration. She also co- manages LASIK and Cataract surgery patients with local ophthalmologists.
She loves to travel internationally for vacation and optometry mission trips. In her spare time she spends time with her family and decorates her house.

Dr. Ayesha is very professional, knowledgeable, and caring. She was not only concerned with my eye health but about my whole family's vision. Throughout my appointment she took the time to listen to my concerns and offered insightful solutions to prevent further progression of my myopia. The rest of the staff was also very helpful and assisted me in picking out the perfect frame. Really glad to have visited TSO.

I have been very pleased with Dr. Butt for several years now, She is very thorough and follows up at each annual visit regarding any new issues she found at the last visit as well as the macular degeneration she keeps any eye on.

I felt welcomed from the very moment I stepped into their office. The entire staff is very friendly and professional. My appointment was in the morning and I got seen pretty much within 5 minutes. Dr Ayesha Butt is phenomenal and very helpful. Janet helped pick out a frame that best suited. I never felt uncomfortable during my visit. If you need to get your eyes checked out, I definitely recommend Dr Ayesha Butt and the team TSO Champions.

She was engaging and informative. I enjoyed working with her. However, I arrived at 10:30 for 3 appointments and it took 3 1/2 hours. It wasn't busy so I was unsure why it took so long.

Dr. Butt was really nice and very thorough, she actually found a spot in my eye that no other doctors caught before and was able to figure out why my vision hasn't been perfect with my glasses or contacts. She actually took the time to sit with me and listen and explained everything in a way k could understand. I would definitely recommend her!
