“My husband and I just went to Dr. Kimura’s clinic together for our routine eye exams.
It looks like a stylish eyewear boutique at first glance, but there is an office in the back. Unlike a standard clinic, the setting is so chic! First, we had a brief preliminary screening with a member of the staff, followed by a thorough eye examination. Dr. Kimura is extremely friendly and her Japanese is fantastic! The exam was very thorough, her explanations were easy to understand, and it was an absolute 10/10 checkup.
The staff members were also wonderful, double-checking our insurance details carefully. We are definitely planning to get our regular annual exams done at her clinic from now on. I would highly recommend this clinic to everyone!”

About Dr. Ayumi Kimura
Dr. Ayumi Kimura received her Bachelor of Arts in Human Bio-dynamics from the University of California, Berkeley, and earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from Marshall B. Ketchum University in 2006. She has explored nearly the entire scope of the eyecare industry, beginning with publishing her research “An Evaluation of the Smart System II for Visual Acuity Measurement.” Her experience spans roles as an optical laboratory technician, ABO-certified optician, frame sales representative, and even designing her own AYUMI eyewear line. Dr. Kimura has worked with a Beverly Hills ophthalmology group, diagnosing and treating ocular diseases, refracting, and coordinating LASIK surgeries. She particularly enjoys the challenge of fitting contact lens patients. In her spare time, Dr. Ayumi devotes herself to her family, volunteers with the Los Angeles School System performing children’s vision screenings, and enjoys designing and traveling.

Dr. Kimura was everything I needed and more, she helped me feel hopeful. Explained directions to me so well, was so patient with me. I came in for an emergency eye infection and she took care of it and got me on the right meds immediately! This was an hour out of my way and I’ll do it again to have her as a doctor.

Dr. Kimura was so nice and cheerful. She explained everything and made sure that if I had any questions or concerns, they were addressed before moving on. She did a very thorough exam. First doctor to tell me I had an astigmatism. Her team is very knowledgeable, helpful, patient, and explain things in a way that was easy to comprehend. Y’all are the best!?

I had such a great experience with Dr. Kimura and her staff! She was absolutely amazing - so warm, welcoming bedside manner and made me feel completely comfortable. She was extremely thorough with the eye exam and used really cool equipment. The entire staff were great, helpful, so nice and patient - I would highly recommend and will be coming back.
