He earned his medical degree from Boston University School of Medicine, and completed his residency at the prestigious North Shore – Long Island Jewish Hospital affiliate of New York University and Albert Einstein School of Medicine, where he also served as the Chief Resident . Unpleasant experience wrong signs on door and when I walked in the receptionist asked and told me I have no appointment, I then showed her confirmation of my appointment she then asked for my insurance gave it to her and she said they don't accep it, was later told they did. Very unorganized.

Dr. Shabatian and all of his staff are very friendly, the wait wasn't very long when I got there. All their equipment they use to exam my eyes seem to be all updated. The room I was in smell very sanitized as it should. I recommend anybody with eye problem to come here.

Had appt. at 9AM, didn’t get seen for over a half hour, got kicked out of one room, waited in lobby before getting seen again in different room.
Probably just a rough start for Monday but made me very late to work.

His staff is very nice, friendly and accommodating. I didn't have to wait too long to get in to see him, but was left in the room twice for a long time while he dealt with other patient(s). When he finally did come in (one time I actually had to open the door and gesture to his receptionist about the long wait), he mumbled an apology of sorts but didn't seem to feel the need to address the delay. I realize that one of the times I was in there for a while he had put dilating drops in my eyes and had to wait for 15 min. or so, but he popped his head in and from the door decided it needed more time so he left and didn't come back for quite a while. Medically speaking, though, I think he knows his stuff.

I've used ZocDoc many times and I must say this was my best experience! Babak was able to accommodate me when it worked with my work schedule at 5pm and waited up for my appointment. He took me right away, was very quick, thorough and very nice! I felt comfortable in his office and I'd definitely go back to him again for my next eye opt! Highly recommended!!

This is the second time I'm making appointment with this Doctor through zocdoc and they called me from the office and reschedueled it. Apparently there was no coordination between the ofice and zocdoc.
