“Dr. Maguen is the nicest guy. I parked on 3rd without realizing it was a tow away zone at 4pm. In the middle of my exam when my cell phone went off, he asked me if I had to get the phone. I said "No it's my 3:53 warning that I have to move my car before I get towed." He told me to take my time moving my car and saw me as soon as I came back. The exam was very extensive since I was negative 12 before LASIK.”

About Dr. Barak Maguen
Dr. Maguen practices comprehensive ophthalmology and is an expert cataract surgeon who has performed thousands of cataract surgeries, specializing in premium lens implantation.
He treats diseases of the eye, including cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic eye disease, dry eye , etc.
Dr. Maguen completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California Berkeley, in both Economics and Premedical Studies. Prior to starting medical school, he engaged in research at the Ocular Virology Laboratory at Cedars Sinai Medical center studying the ocular damage caused by the Herpes Virus. His contributions were instrumental in discoveries by that team which resulted in better understanding of the Herpetic Eye Disease, as well as several publications in major journals in the field. Dr. Maguen graduated from Boston University Medical School. He was honored as a Junior AOA member, an honor that was warded to the top four medical students of his class. Dr. Maguen then completed a one year internship at Cedars Sinai Medical Center.
