Dr. Sandler always takes whatever time is needed, is always courteous, informative and generally wonderful.
After a long search on the internet I finally found the medical office I’m completely satisfied with. Dr. Sandler impressed me with her professionalism, she is always on point and very polite. The work of the front desk was well-organized and it was a pleasure communicating with the staff. I would highly recommend this office to my friends. P.S. Many thanks to sweetheart Anya, for handling my 100+ questions so patiently and professionally.
Bella Sansler is a wonderful Doctor , very professional and organized. I would recommend her office, I also want to thank her office workers , especially Anna B., for coordination and helpful approach.
The staff was very friendly, receptionists were very welcoming and kind. Explained everything in details about my analysis and insurance. Mrs.Sandler is professional and a nice person. Would recommend this office to my friends.
Finally, a primary care physician I enjoy seeing, a nice office with nice staff and Dr. Sandler was kind and attentive and knew what she was talking about
Bella Sandler was my primary care physician for over two years but--today--I switched as her receptionist literally and without exaggeration assaulted me over a billing dispute. The dark-haired, 20-something Russian lady who works as Dr. Sandler's assistant refused to give me her name when I asked for it as I wanted to speak with Dr. Sandler about the unbelievably rude way I was treated. So when I took a picture of her to make sure I could show the doctor the correct person, this young lady lost her mind. She grabbed and crumpled the papers I was holding and tried to yank them out of my hand, then came from around the desk and physically pushed me to thedoor of the office. All over a silly misunderstanding of billing that didn't need to escalate. She then called me twice on my cell phone as I walked home saying she was going to report me to the police for sexual harassment. I said go ahead. My same-sex male partner of 12 years would be surprised to hear I had sexually harassed a woman. I spoke with the doctor about the inexcusable physical touching today and, although she is very nice, I didn't get the impression she would discipline her receptionist at all as she made excuses about how the receptionist was "probably scared" and "has never done this before". So although I like Dr. Sandler (in spite of her being perpetually late in getting through her patients), I have been forced to switch providers as I don't want someone with such anger issues as her assistant privy to my private information. I wouldn't advise using this office unless you're Russian as everyone who works here is. Perhaps it's a culture thing but in the USA, count yourself lucky I'm not suing that she laid hands on me.
She is a nice doctor
It was a good experience.
During my visit Dr. Sandler was very thorough, she listened attentively and answered all my Questions. I really felt cared for. She has a wonderful bedside manner. I am very happy I could finally find my primary care physician. Her staff were also very nice and professional.
I have been Dr. Sandler's patient for about a year and I am happy to finally find my primary care doctor. I find her knowledgeable and very efficient. She always goes straight to the point and also addresses all my concerns. Every visit from walk in to walk out is takes no longer then 40 min with all the tests that I need. The staff in the office is very nice and professional as well.
She is a great doctor and I am very happy I found her.
Dr. Sandler is a consummate professional with outstanding bedside manner. I have had many experiences with primary care physicians where I felt a marked absence in patient-doctor rapport. Dr. Sandler's entire team is extremely personable and resonates a level of warmth that is sorely lacking in healthcare these days. Dr. Sandler is patient, keen, and meticulous in gathering medical history and conducting physical exams. Although my insurance does not require me to select a gatekeeper PCP, I am confident that would not be a question to ponder for long.
Dr. Sandler and her staff are all I could have hoped for in a medical practitioner. She has been my primary care physician for several years now and has always provided the absolute best care, and I believe, best advice and treatment during every visit and for every issue. If you are looking for a doctor whose medical knowledge is encyclopedic, treats the whole person, and takes the time to be caring even while maintaing a very efficient office, then Dr. Sandler is someone you should consider visiting.
Amazing doctor. Have been a patient for years and every time Dr. Sandler addresses all my questions and concerns, no matter how long it takes. A pure professional who is extremely knowledgeable and very caring. It would be impossible to find a better doctor and I am glad that I found Dr. Sandler.
Loved her!! she was patient, knowledgeable and her staff was very friendly and helpful.
Dr. Sandler is always very thorough and takes extra time to answer questions.
Great Doctor! She Listens! Dr. Sandler's Medical Assistant - "Tamara" was very nice! Great location! - Very nice office!
Dr. Sandler seemed to me to have all the traits and characteristics of the ideal doctor, such as competence, compassion, inquisitiveness, kindness, humane, forthright, thorough, confidence and empathy. Doctor is a good listener, she tried to understand what I was feeling and experiencing, physically and emotionally, and communicated that understanding to me. She was able to give me the best recommendation for diagnostic and treatment. The doctor’s confidence gave me confidence, and she took my input seriously and worked with me effectively. Dr. Sandler gave me the feeling that I will feel better and healthier with the right treatment. Dr. Sandler speaks multiple languages, which allowed my parents to speak with her in their native language. It had a positive impact during assessment. I would highly recommend this doctor, since she is a very professional specialist, she sees the problem through the prism of different aspects. Dr. Sandler is perfect for the whole family. I was excited to know, that I can be seen by OB/GYN specialist, cardiologist, gastroenterologist and chiropractor in one office, which makes my commute much easier. I would give five stars to the office staff, who were extremely supportive. They provided me with a lot of attention and support, and were very informative about my insurance plan. The office location is the best, near all public transportation including Forest Hills Rail Road Station, and famous shopping on Austin Street.
I came in for a follow-up for a car accident. Unfortunately, it felt that Dr. Sandler and her staff were more interested in taking legal steps than medical ones. I understand that insurance claims are different following accidents; however, I had to insist over 5 times that I did NOT want them to refer me to a lawyer. Dr. Sandler's examination of my injuries was not satisfactory and I left with many questions regarding my symptoms (her exam felt like it was from a sheet marked "what to check after car accident" and was not tailored to my experience at all). She also recommended physical therapy but gave me no medical reason for needing it, only saying that following car accidents its good to do physical therapy. Finally, after being asked to sign papers authorizing the release of my information to an attorney (despite having said many times that I did not want one) I left. I received a call afterward telling me that I left my scripts for physical therapy and for ibuprofen (WHY do I need a doctor's prescription for that??). I did not feel as though Dr. Sandler was looking to help me medically, but rather to prepare me for a claim and make money off of my accident.
Staff was unfriendly and had no data from ZocDoc. (Had to re-fill all on paper.) Doc's Russian accent is a bit hard to understand. She is not the most attentive listener, and I felt she rushed her diagnosis a little. In fact, her prescription (of a certain non-medication for a medical condition) neither made sense to me nor helped.
This was my first time visiting Dr. Sandler. Dr. Sander was very knowledgeable and made me feel very comfortable as a new patient. I liked that she was willing to answer any questions and concerns that I had. Her staff were also very warm and accommodating.
Her bedside manner with her "staff" who by the way were excellent and friendly, kind etc….was AWFUL she was a totally passive aggressive during the exam which made for uncomfortable visit.
Dr. Sadler and her staff really listened to what I had to say. I genuinely felt like I was being cared for.
The visit was fine but she never calls back with your test results for blood work.
It was a pleasure! She is very knowledgeable, caring, and professional. Her staff is great! Everything i need is done in her office (blood work, EKG, allergy test etc.)The only issue is the wait time. I don't mind the wait. She takes her time and is very specify. So be ready to wait patiently. :D
Was told to come in an hour early, which I thought meant they were slow, but I ended up waiting PAST my original appointment time and beyond. Total wait was probably an hour and a half. Also sort of felt manhandled as one of the nurse practitioners did a procedure that required me to remove my shirt and bra and lay on my back: she didn't leave the room or give me any sort of gown. For a first visit this felt really strange and uncomfortable. Also felt like the doctor didn't really believe my reasons for coming there and treated me like someone who just wanted pills. I'm not sure if I'll go back, but I might just because I figure it can't get any worse.
It was fine and she was knowledgeable but it was a quick appointment and she didnt spend that much time with me. Also I was sitting in her waiting area for an extremely long time.
Nice doctor, but hard to understand unless you are looking right at her.
I found Dr. Sandler to be caring, professional and very thorough. I've had some disastrous experiences with primary care doctors after moving to the city and was happy to find a doctor I feel very comfortable continuing to see. She asks the right questions, seems interested and caring and is actually pretty easy to talk too. While her office, and staff, are not entirely traditional, I always felt comfortable and as though everybody knew what they were doing and how to do it.
very nice Doctor.
I don't think anyone should have to be at an appointment for 2+ hours before being seen. I got there early, filled out all my paper work on zoc doc prior to my appointment. They rude lady at the front only responded to people by yelling at them or ignoring them. Then I sat for 2 hours waiting. After 2 hours I was finally invited to be pre- evaluated before being seen with the Dr. Then I had to wait another 20 minutes to be seen. Then I had to wait another 15 minutes for the post eval. Absurd. Came in at 415 and left at 630. I don't care how good people say this doctor is. This is not ok. This is it how you run a practice!
She herself was wonderful and the staff are quite friendly but they are overwhelmed. The wait is worth it if you have the time and inclination but now you will wait...and wait...and wait
The doctor, nurse and receptionist were all very helpful and polite. I would have had a perfect experience if I didn't have to wait 2 hours and 20 mins to be seen. I assume it was just a hectic day and I hope it isn't like that for future appointments.
My appointment with Dr. Sandler was the most pleasant medical experience I've ever had. She is extremely knowledgeable and clearly very experienced and an excellent physician. Furthermore, her bedside manner is impeccable. She was very thorough and caring and spend time answering all my questions and clearly explaining everything to me. The office was great and the staff were very polite, they do a great job of scheduling appointment so that the wait time is very short.
The wait is atrocious sometimes but she really is worth it. She has a large practice and the wait just comes with the territory. Again, it IS worth the wait.
Dr. Sandler appears to be very professional and trustworthy. She was very attentive and took her time. I think I finally found a Primary Care doctor whom I can actually trust.
Very attentive and detailed. She took her time and I didn't feel rushed, seemed like the doctor was really listening. Very professional and seemed very knowledgeable. I think I found the primary care doctor that I can finally trust.
Very professional and very polite
Was disappointed..after waiting in doctors office was told that my insurance was not accepted although this service said it was.
Dr. Sandler is a very knowledgeable and professional doctor.
Very long wait time.
Dr. Sandler is a caring, knowledgeable physician. She listens well, takes her time and is informative to me as a patient. I have a complicated health history and am very involved in my own healthcare. She is respectful to my point of view. All in all I think Dr. Sandler is a wonderful doctor and a very nice person.
She is very attentive and very thorough.
I thought Dr. Sandler did a great job, was incredibly thorough and professional. I would recommend her for anyone.
Very thorough, and took her time. I felt comfortable and didn't feel like I was being rushed at all. Both doctor and assistant were very friendly.
The Dr was professional and very. Helpful. I would say I'm glad I picked her.
Great DR, long waits, but it IS worth it.
I was stuck in Forest Hills with my sons right after Hurricane Sandy. Needed to see a doctor because I wasn't feeling well. Dr. Sandler was and is a wonderful doctor....wish I could bring her back to Long Island with me.
She was thoughout. I was a new patient. She took the time to ask all the necessary health questions about family history, recent and past health issues. Did and heart, allergy, and blood test. Very nice matter. Only draw back is the wait time and a very small waiting room. If people are sick...you sit in very close proximity.
Hey! This was my first visit with Dr. Sandler. Give it some time so I can give better feedback.
The entire staff was very nice and did a great job taking care of me
Very professional and knowledgeable
The doctor's office said the appointment time was after their closing time.
Office is very small and I had to wait for over an hour past my scheduled appointment time. Dr. Sandler was nice but I felt rushed and afraid to ask any questions. I would've preferred a dr who seemed to care and wasn't in such a rush to get me out of there.
Dr.Bella Sandler was very professional and polite. The services provided by her staff was very good.
she was informative. the staff were helpful, but haven't reached me back.
Everyone was extremely friendly and professional. Doctor Bella Sandler was very personable and helpful. I would highly recommend this practice and will definitrly be making Dr.Sandler my primary care doctor.
