“The staff were very efficient and helpful. I was nervous as I had recently moved from out of state and had a 20 year business relationship with my optometrist there. I was put at ease immediately by the knowledge of the front desk and opticians and I could tell I was in good hands. Dr Fuhr was one of the best providers I have seen in my 50 years of glasses and contact lenses. He offered and provided solutions for my vision issues both short term and long term and was very reassuring.
He listens well and was extremely thorough with my eye exams

Benjamin Fuhr, O.D., earned his Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University, Forest Grove, and his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of South Dakota. Dr. Fuhr specializes in dry eye, pediatrics, and medical eye care. Dr. Fuhrman and the Alvernon Optical Associates were extremely friendly, patient and kind. I had been searching for more than 4 months for an Optical Doctor and location, and they were the fourth that I had found which took my insurance. I submitted an online form for an appointment, so I wasn't expecting too much because I didn't soak with a person. They blew me out of the water in such a good way! My family and I will definitely be switching!

Have been coming to alvernon optical for about 6 years now and every single interaction with anyone at the office has been great. Same people for the last 6 years and they are all the most amazing, caring people you can find. I refer everyone here and will continue to do so.
