About Dr. Bimal Patel
Dr. Bimal Patel is a native Houstonian and loves the diversity of this great city! Being in tune with the latest in eye care technology and fashion eyewear trends, Dr. Patel provides only the best for his community and patients. He specializes in primary care and the diagnosis and treatment of ocular diseases. Through his experience at one of the country’s top refractive surgery centers, Dr. Patel has honed his skills in LASIK management and specialty contact lenses. He is also one of the few doctors in the Houston area certified to fit Orthokeratology contact lenses, which correct your vision while you sleep.
Dr. Patel received his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from the University of Texas-Austin and his Doctor of Optometry from the University Of Houston College Of Optometry, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. While in school, he was President of the Student Texas Optometry Association (TOA) and currently serves on the New Grad Task Force for the TOA. He completed a specialty externship at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego, CA and private practice in Austin, TX.
He is currently a member of the American Optometric Association and Texas Optometric Association. In his leisure time, Dr. Patel enjoys playing tennis, attending the theater and traveling. He is also involved in community outreach programs for the Montrose neighborhood and contributes his time and creativity to the Midtown Management District.

The Office was beautiful and very comfortable. Staff called me as soon as walked in the door. Doctor was very helpful and answered all questions and did everything very quick. No pain examination. Staff helped me understand pricing and helped pick out very nice frames.

The experience was wonderful . It seems as though they we’re waiting on me to arrive. They greeted me with a smile the Doctor was awesome. He had great communication skills made me feel like I was visiting his home. I will highly recommend him to anyone I know. If you don’t live close make the drive it will be well worth it.
