About Dr. Blake Hughes

Dr. Blake Hughes is a dedicated optometrist practicing at MyEyeDr. in Hurst, Texas. Dr. Hughes obtained his Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry in Houston, Texas, in 2006. Prior to that, he completed his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree at Abilene Christian University in 2002. He is a member of the American Optometric Association (AOA) and the Texas Optometric Association (TOA). Dr. Hughes's exceptional patient care earned him multiple Clinical Letters of Excellence, and he was honored with the prestigious Gold Key Award for outstanding leadership. When he's not practicing optometry, Dr. Hughes cherishes the moments spent with his wife and their five children. He enjoys playing golf, traveling, cheering for the Texas Rangers baseball team, and attending church. Dr. Hughes considers it a great honor to serve the community where he grew up. His expertise ranges from the treatment and management of eye diseases, such as glaucoma and macular degeneration, to sports vision exams.
