About Dr. Brandon Harnos

A metro-Detroit native and University of Michigan honors graduate, Dr. Harnos earned his Doctorate of Optometry from the SUNY College of Optometry in New York City, where he was deeply involved in student leadership. He served as class president, Gold Key Honor's Society President, and AOSA national trustee, and founded the first LGBTQ+ club at any independent college of optometry in the country. His clinical focus includes ocular disease, pediatrics, and binocular vision. He has published in Modern Optometry and presented lectures on sensory hypersensitivity and electrophysiological testing. Dr. Harnos is a clinical attending supervisor at SUNY College of Optometry and currently serves as President of the Hudson Valley Optometric Association. Outside the office, he enjoys running, volleyball, reading, and performing as a classically trained trumpet player with the Ulster County Wind Ensemble.
