About Dr. Brent Bellotte
His recent accomplishments include being chosen for the Castle Connolly American Top Doctor award from 2015 to 2019, as well as receiving the Patient's Choice Award. Dr. Bellotte served as a founding father for the Eye Physicians of Florida Ophthalmology Mega Group and was a consulting member of the advisory board for BlueCross/Blue Shield. Following these achievements, he became a consulting founder of HipaaBridge, a secure medical texting phone application now adopted by many prominent hospital systems.
Dr. Bellotte earned his Doctor of Medicine from West Virginia University School of Medicine, where he received the Award of Excellence for outstanding class rank. He was also honored with the Peggy Preston Tertiary Scholarship, the Hurlbutt Memorial Endowment, and the Spurlock Fellowship for his work sequencing retroviral DNA. Additionally, he was elected as a judge for the Van Liere Research Convocation. He completed his residency in Ophthalmology at Texas Tech University.
He maintains active memberships in the American Academy of Ophthalmology, the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgeons, the Florida Society of Ophthalmology, and the Palm Beach Ophthalmology Society.
On a more personal note, Dr. Bellotte devotes much of his time to continuing medical education activities and attending ophthalmology conferences. He also researches and implements IT and network management technology in the medical environment. Furthermore, he is a certified private pilot by the Federal Aviation Administration.

Cataracts at 71 should have been expected but I was in denial. Dr. Bellotte provided an excellent patient experience, him and his staff put me at ease for the upcoming surgeries.
