About Dr. Bridget Tsao

Bridget Tsao, OD Dr. Bridget Tsao grew up in Dobbs Ferry, Westchester, NY. There she studied piano, violin, French, and played varsity tennis. In a move to the West Coast, she graduated from Occidental College with a degree in biochemistry (Barack Obama was a classmate). She completed her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in Philadelphia. Her specialty training included contact lens research and development, low vision technology, and ocular pathology. This advanced training helped her on humanitarian trips with the Flying Samaritans providing eye care to the underserved in Mexico. Dr. Tsao is a past board member of the Ojai Children’s Home Society, Ojai Education Foundation, and Soule Park Women’s Golf Club. Currently, Dr. Tsao serves on the Board of Directors for the Ojai Music Festival and is Chair of the Bravo Committee, an outreach program providing music education for the Ojai Unified School District. She also enjoys her time on the finance committee of the Ojai Presbyterian Church. Dr. Tsao was recently appointed to the ARC Board, an organization that is dedicated to helping adults with disabilities to live independently. Her current hobby is golf (she loves a challenge) and visiting her two granddaughters in Austin.
