About Dr. Brooke Peterson

Dr. Brooke Peterson is passionate about helping patients achieve clear vision and maintain long-term eye health. Originally from Omaha, NE, she completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln before earning her Doctor of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University. She graduated with Magna Cum Laude honors and was inducted into the Beta Sigma Kappa International Optometric Honor Society. Dr. Peterson enjoys working with patients of all ages and has a particular interest in treating dry eye and fitting contact lenses. Her goal is to make every visit comfortable, informative, and tailored to each patient's needs. Dr. Peterson has a strong foundation in community service. During optometry school, she traveled to the Bahamas and Peru with Student VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity). She also participated in multiple RAM (Remote Area Medical) trips, providing essential care to rural communities across the U.S. Dr. Peterson is an active member of the Missouri Optometric Association and the Optometric Society of Greater Kansas City. She recently moved to Lee's Summit with her husband, Charles, and their two cats. When she's not in the office, you can find her doing puzzles, playing pickleball, attending fitness classes and spending time with friends and family.
