Dr. Loly joined our practice in September 2004. She received a Bachelor of Sciences in biology from UCLA and went to medical school at Saint Louis University. She completed her training in obstetrics and gynecology at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Carla became board certified in 2007. Dr. Loly has received training in a variety of minimally invasive procedures, including laparoscopic supracervical hysterectomy and hysteroscopic resection of fibroids. She welcomes input from her patients regarding alternative approaches to medical care, such as herbal medicines and acupuncture. Her individual areas of interest are management of abnormal Pap smears and contraceptive counseling. “Modern-day healthcare can include many elements-from contemporary Western medicine and surgical techniques to Eastern philosophies. Many of my patients have put a lot of time and thought into researching their medical concerns and come to the office wanting to explore their options. I encourage patients to discuss their views with me so that together we can design a plan that will maximize both outcome and patient satisfaction.”
