“as soon as i walked in, i was greeted. i came in early and was seen as soon as possible. dr. zimmerman was pleasant and understanding. she made me feel comfortable during the appointment. i didn’t get the gentleman’s name for the prescreening, but he was pleasant as well. there was a young lady, named becca i believe, she made picking out my new frames fun. i will be returning soon.”

“This was first exam after about 4/5 years and after dealing with no so great providers and office staff.
This staff was friendly, I was seen right away for my “pre exam” by Ramell , who was really nice, before seeing Dr Zimmerman. It was about 20ish minutes before I was seen by her which isn’t bad especially for a small office and there was also another patient scheduled before me.
She was very sweet and bubbly, clear communication and very helpful and patient with finding me my new prescription. I’ll most likely return.”

About Dr. Caryn Zimmerman
Dr. Zimmerman graduated in 2015 from West Virginia University with a BS in Biochemistry with a minor in Spanish. She continued her education at Massachusetts of College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences and graduated with a Doctorate in Optometry in 2021. She completed a residency in primary care optometry with an emphasis in community health and ocular disease in Dorchester MA. Through her final year rotations and residency Dr. Zimmerman gained experience in pediatrics, myopia control, dry eye, and co-management of ocular disease.

My appointment was great and very thorough. The doctor explained all the tests that I had. There was an additional test that I had before seeing the doctor where the tech mentioned that it would be an extra fee for the third test with insurance. I wish they would have explained this to me before entering the testing room. I do not know if I needed the test, but I agreed to do it. During the appointment I was fitted with a new contact lens made for people with stigmatism. There was an additional (significant) charge for the fitting of a new contact. Following my appointment, I met with another employee to discuss contact and eye glass options. There was a special going on with the contact lens company I was fitted for, but I did not buy a year's worth of contacts and only used what my insurance would cover.

Dr. Zimmerman was knowledgeable and pleasant and I would recommend her. The facilities aren't the most modern or comfortable but I'd come back to be seen by this specific OD.

The experience was great! I can honestly say I don’t think I’ve ever had such a thorough annual eye exam. I walked away with a new prescription for my glasses and contacts and did not realize how much better seeing could be! ?? The staff from check-in to checkout was very friendly and transparent about process!
