About Dr. Cassandra Mark
Dr. Cassandra Mark received her Doctorate of Optometry degree from the New England College of Optometry. She received clinical honors in her training at Boston Medical Center, West Haven Veterans Association Hospital, New England Eye, Boston University Eye Associates.
She has a broad range of experience with contact lenses, pediatrics, and individuals with disability, with special interests in dry eye and ocular disease.
During optometry school, Dr. Mark joined 15 other medical professionals to provide eye care to over 450 citizens of Honduras. Dr. Mark was born and raised in Toronto. Her interests include traveling, golf, skiing and cooking.

I recently moved to Boston and was nervous about finding a new eye doctor, however I had a great experience with Dr. Mark! She and the rest of the staff were very friendly and answered all of my questions about the appointment, pricing, insurance, and eyewear.

Doctor.Cassandra is very nice and professional, no waiting time at all, and the whole process took around 30 mins. Doc answers my questions patiently and gave me suggestions about how to avoid the headaches I recently had. Recommend and would come back to pick frame and lens.

The doctor herself was absolutely wonderful. Only great things to say. My issue is with their COVID-19 precautions. The person who signed us in, had in mask below his nose (sigh). I then saw someone working in the back, also with mask below nose. The office did NOT have any visible HEPA filters that most places now have. But the worst part was, as we left and were almost out the door, the person who signed us returned from the back to say goodbye, *without a mask on*.... So, the doctor is great, but I wouldn't go back as things are, because, well, poor practices in the practice around coronavirus. (Note: the doctor herself was in fact masked properly and fully, the entire time).

I’ve always paid for eye exams out of pocket and not with insurance so I always expect to pay a good bit anytime I go somewhere. But the service and professionalism found with Dr Mark far exceeds where I usually go that I ask myself why I haven’t found her sooner! The wait time at my usual eye appointments consists of checking in, waiting about 30 minutes to see the person to check my current prescription, another person to do a few routine tests and finally a wait for the doctor and then a wait to check out. Dr Mark handled ALL aspects of my visit including payment by herself- it was done so quickly and efficiently and with such a calm and comfortable manner I was blown away! She also was very thorough about explaining my prescription and why she chose it for my current vision that my previous doctors never took the time to explain to me. Since I left her office I have been recommending anyone who needs anything eye related to go see her!

Dr. Mark very literally saved my vision. After visiting my PCP for double vision with no answers, I went in for an eye exam. She caught optic nerve swelling and was able to direct me to a specialist who diagnosed me with a serious illness that could have caused permanent vision loss/blindness if left untreated. Dr. Mark continued to check in on my throughout my diagnosis process and was just overall so helpful and kind. Highly recommend seeing her!

She is the sweetest and very warming person. I’ve seen so many Dr’s that are intimidating but Dr Mark was so friendly and spoke to me as her friend. I highly recommend seeing her as she explains everything throughly and treats you with care.
