About Dr. Channing Baird
Channing Baird is a Colorado native. After earning her Bachelor's degree from the University of Colorado, she completed her Doctor of Optometry at Pacific University in 1994. Upon returning to Colorado, Dr. Baird had the opportunity to work with some of Denver's top physicians before opening her own practice in Washington Park in 1999. A passion of Dr. Baird's is her ongoing annual mission trips to Mexico, South America, the Caribbean, and Asia. These trips serve the medical needs of impoverished communities by providing medications, dental services, and prescription eyeglasses to patients.

I have been a patient of Eyes of the World and Dr. Channing Baird for more than 25 years. I keep coming back because the care I receive is always thoughtful and kind. I feel seen (no pun intended) as an individual patient without my own unique optical history and needs.

Office staff was extremely rushed and rude even though I showed up on time. They didn’t review what I would owe or whether my insurance was accepted until I explicitly asked. The doctor was great, only complaints is with the office experience as a new patient.

Great team. Super lovely.
Dr. Channing was professional and straightforward and answered all of my questions. Short appointment as my prescription doesn’t change as much. The office was clean and lovely.
A note on parking: is street parking so do give yourself extra time to find a parking spot in a busy area and even without being busy it was difficult.

A very nice experience overall. Limited paperwork to complete as a new patient. Benefits coverage was clearly communicated in person before my appointment began. Office staff were friendly and helpful.
