Dr. Chelsey Kunkler was raised in Montezuma, Ohio, and graduated from Marion Local High School in 2016. She attended The Ohio State University, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences summa cum laude in May 2019. Dr. Kunkler continued her education at The Ohio State University College of Optometry, where she graduated magna cum laude with a Doctor of Optometry degree in May 2023. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Ohio Optometric Association. As an InfantSEE provider, Dr. Kunkler offers comprehensive eye and vision assessments for early detection of vision problems in infants ages six to twelve months at no cost. She also volunteers with the Ohio Optometric Association Realeyes Program, presenting in classrooms from preschool through 12th grade on eye anatomy, eye safety, and various eye conditions. While she enjoys all aspects of optometry, Dr. Kunkler has a special interest in ocular disease and primary care. Dr. Kunkler currently resides in New Bremen, Ohio, with her husband, Henry (IV), their son, Henry (V), and their black lab, Dexter. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, and traveling.
