Dr. Schmitt is a graduate of the University of Arizona and received her Doctor of Optometry from Pacific University. She is active in her chosen profession with service on the local, state, and national levels. She is the past president of the Arizona Optometric Association and currently serves as a board member of its charitable foundation. Although essential to be active in one’s profession, Dr. Schmitt knows there is more to life than career alone! In addition to her love of her practice and patients, Dr. Schmitt is a devoted Arizona Athletics fan. She and her family enjoy attending games to support their beloved Wildcats. She believes there is no entertainment venue as magical as McKale Center! Dr. Schmitt enjoys an active, family-focused lifestyle. One of her favorite parts of being an Optometrist is building a relationship with her patients and being given the privilege of learning about their interests as well.
