She explained everything in detail and took her time. I didn’t feel rushed, all of my questions were answered, and all of my initial concerns were put at ease. She also went over what to expect at my next appt and any testing that would be needed/recommended. I felt very comfortable.

About Dr. Chinwe Echeazu
Are you from the DC area?
I was born and raised in Chicago, IL, and will certainly root for any sports team that hails from the area! However, my natural curiosity and the flexibility during my training led me out of the Midwest to many places including New Hampshire, Texas, Kansas, California, Arizona, New York, and I even lived in Ecuador for one month. Through all of these experiences, it was reinforced how much I value diversity, learning about new cultures, and—although unnamed—how much I love the DMV! After many years of visiting friends and family in this area, I fell in love with it and discovered this is where I wanted to start growing roots and stay long term. You may find me cycling through the city, dining at a restaurant, or hiking along a trail—I love all that this area has to offer, so feel free to say hello!
What inspired you to pursue a career in Obstetrics and Gynecology?
My intention of becoming a doctor has always been to become exactly what I am—an ObGyn. I think it started from my mother showing my sisters and me videos of our births. I was in awe, intrigued, filled with emotion, and now I know I was destined to do what I witnessed that day. I tried to keep an open mind for other specialties in medical school, but my passion has always kept me where I belong. I absolutely love everything about what we have the honor of providing to our patients through Obstetrics and Gynecology, and I do not take it for granted.
I earned my Doctor of Medicine from Dartmouth College and completed my residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Long Island Jewish Medical Center. I also trained at Creighton University in Obstetrics and Gynecology, which further shaped my skills and dedication to this field.

Dr. Echeazu was so warm and friendly. She was professional and kind, and she listened to my concerns and really validated how I was feeling. She took the time to make me feel comfortable. The office is very nice and is run efficiently. I had to wait less than five minutes, including waiting time to get blood drawn (done very quickly and in house). I would recommend this doctor and this practice to anyone and will be going back. I am so happy to have found this practice and this doctor. Thank you, Dr. Echeazu! My visit was awesome. She listened to my concerns, she did not rush me through the appointment. Her bedside manner was awesome I truly enjoyed my appointment. She was better than any GYN I have ever been to. I am recommending my daughter go see her.

I had a really great appointment with a NP (Sarah Morelli) under the supervision of Dr. Echeazu. I had a wait time of only a few minutes, and my provider was incredibly nice, shared lots of information with me, listened to concerns I had, and ultimately was a fantastic guide for navigating my health. I would absolutely recommend this provider!

Dr. Echeazu was warm and personable and explained everything she was doing during the exam to help me feel comfortable. She was prompt to help me schedule a follow up to discuss another issue. She also offers telehealth visits. This was my first time seeing her.

My visit was 100 perfect the moment I got the clinic to when I was leaving. The staff was very professional and informed me of everything I needed to know . The doctor was kind , listened to my problems and helped me immediately. That was honestly the best visit ever . She will definitely be my doctor moving forward!

Dr. Echeazu was absolutely incredible, I truly feel so lucky to have found her! I’ve struggled to find a good OBGYN and it’s especially important to me to find someone I feel comfortable with and supported by, and she was absolutely wonderful. She was very helpful, answered all my questions and was incredibly thorough, and was kind and communicative. Couldn’t recommend her more!

I’m never excited or calm before visiting a doctor’s office. But this entire staff is beyond amazing. Even if it’s the slightest concern, the staff acknowledges my concerns as important and reassures me. They answer all my questions no matter how crazy or silly I think my questions may be. Today WHNP Brooke assisted me and she was phenomenal. I highly recommend.

I arrived early to my appointment and there was no wait, other than someone checking me in. The receptionist was very nice and offered me something to drink. After being checked in, I waited a minute or two before a nurse came and got me. The nurse was also very nice. They asked me the basic questions and gave me a quick rundown on the clothes I needed to wear. After changing, Dr. Echeazu came in and she was extremely nice! She was very welcoming and listened attentively to my concerns. She even helped me find a better alternative to what I was originally coming in for. She told me everything she was going to do before she did it and also explained what the different exams were for. Safe to say, I will most definitely be coming back here!

I had been in communication with many doctors before Dr. Echeazu, not really getting any answers or proper explanations of what was going on but Dr. Echeazu was very understanding, explained everything perfectly and came up with a game plan so that I know what to expect on my next visit.
