About Dr. Christine Payne
Dr. Christi Payne is a Therapeutic Optometrist and a native of Texas. She has extensive experience working with Glaucoma patients from an optometric perspective. She makes an excellent addition to our team, pairing with our medical physician, Dr. Lindsay Davis, a senior Glaucoma Surgeon and expert in the field of Glaucoma treatment.
Originally from the Dallas area, Dr. Payne earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Hendrix College in Conway, Arkansas. She graduated summa cum laude from Northeastern State University in Tahlequah, Oklahoma, where she received her Doctor of Optometry degree. She is a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honor Society and has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at the University of Houston College of Optometry.
Dr. Payne strives to provide thorough, personalized care to all of her patients and prides herself on the relationships she builds with them.

Reception desk was very helpful and welcoming. The nurse or PA (not sure of title) was very friendly, worked quickly and thoroughly. Doctor answered questions and was thorough and worked quickly as well. Optometrist spent a lot of time finding good options for glasses. Whole office experience was great and every person in the chain of command seemed to be highly knowledgeable which is always reassuring when visiting a medical office on a first visit. Highly recommend, particularly for Lakeway area residents.

I have been going to the Lakeway eye physicians for years. I almost left the practice because I did not love my previous doctor, turns out my previous doctor is no longer with the practice. I am thankful Dr. Payne joined and that I choose to stay. She is everything one would want in a doctor.
