Undergraduate Education: East Carolina University, B.S. Biology, Certificate in Scientific Writing; Optometry School: Pennsylvania College of Optometry; Professional Achievements and Associations: Past President of the Coastal Optometric Society and current member, current President of the Beaufort County Board of Health and serving second 9 year term, past member of Doctors Vision Center Board; Clinical Certifications and Specialities: Primary Care Optometry; The reason I became an optometrist is because my father was an Optometrist, so I saw first hand his dedication and love for the profession and how it was truly a privilege to be a part of something bigger. The unique opportunity to help patients in the county I love and grew up in is even more special. So blessed and happy to practice here. My favorite part of helping my patients is the smile on a patient’s face when you can make a difference for them visually and the appreciation they have knowing we can be a team together impacting their overall health. In my spare time, I enjoy anything to be near my family; church, being a part of my community, as well as boating, golf, running and ECU athletics.
