About Dr. Connie Choua

Born and raised in Dallas, TX, Dr. Choua graduated from the University of Texas at Dallas with a degree in Neuroscience. She continued her studies at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she met Dr. Yew, and obtained her Doctorate of Optometry degree. In her last year of clinical training, Dr. Choua did her internships at the Community Eye Clinic, providing care for the underserved Ft Worth, TX community, and at a successful practice in West Monroe, Louisiana with Dr. Dwayne Yeager. Dr. Choua is a board-certified Therapeutic Optometrist and Optometric Glaucoma Specialist that practices full-scope optometry including ocular disease management, cataract and LASIK consultation and post-op management, and glasses and contact lens examinations. She strongly believes in early eye examinations for children and welcomes children age 4-years-old and above. Dr. Choua enjoys sports, traveling, and exploring the Houston food scene with her husband, family & friends.
