About Dr. Cynthia Wiener
Dr. Wiener has been providing quality eyecare for over 10 years and is excited to be working at M & W Optometry. After growing up on Long Island, she completed her BA in Biology at Binghamton University. In 2015, Dr. Wiener received her Doctor of Optometry degree from Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University as well as a certificate in Advanced Studies in Retina.
Dr. Wiener enjoys working with patients of all ages. She loves the “aha” moment when pediatric patients realize they can have sharper and more detailed vision with vision correction. Dr. Wiener works with patients with amblyopia and is certified in myopia management treatments including Ortho-k, soft contact lenses, and eye drops.
For Dr. Wiener, eye health is just as important as vision correction. She performs eye exams for patients with diabetes, MS, autoimmune disorders, and those on certain medications which may have ocular side effects. Dr. Wiener is licensed in the therapeutic treatment and management of ocular diseases including glaucoma, ocular infections, and ocular allergies.
When not working, Dr. Wiener enjoys spending time with family and friends and cheering on the NY Mets and NY Islanders.
