About Dr. Daniel J Terpstra
Dr. Daniel J. Terpstra is an orthopedic surgeon specializing in Orthopedic Surgery, Joint Replacement Surgery, and Orthopedic Sports Medicine. His areas of focus include Complex Shoulder Surgery, Complex Knee Surgery, and Total Shoulder, Knee, and Hip Replacement Surgery. He earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Dr. Terpstra completed his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, Harrisburg, followed by a fellowship in Sports Medicine at the University of Cincinnati. With more than 20 years of experience, his goal since sixth grade has been to become an orthopedic sports medicine physician. He gained valuable experience and enjoyed his time as an assistant team physician for the Cincinnati Bengals and the University of Cincinnati, as well as serving as a physician for professional tennis and beach volleyball tours. Proud to return to his community, Dr. Terpstra is committed to providing the same or better care than he received during his own athletic career. He is actively involved in numerous outreach events and provides athletic coverage for Lehigh University and multiple area high schools.

I got there early and thought I’d have paperwork to complete because I was a first time patient. However, because I completed the paperwork online the night before the visit, I didn’t have anything to fill out. I also was informed that my insurance covered the visit. I waited for maybe 5 minutes and was taken to an exam room before my appointment time. I saw the doctor right away and he was able to answer all of my questions and prescribed physical therapy and an MRI. I was able to get scheduled for the MRI and my follow up visit during check out. My appointment was scheduled for 8:15 and I was out by 8:45 with everything scheduled and all of my paperwork ready to go. On the drive home, I was contacted to set up a physical therapy appointment for an office closer to my house. I’ve been treated at different health facility and waited over a hour for the doctor. This experience was amazing.
