Undergraduate Education: North Carolina State University, B.S. Biological Engineering, B.S. Biomedical Engineering. Optometry School: Southern College of Optometry. Professional Achievements and Associations: AOA Member, GOA Member, BSA Eagle Scout. The reason I became an optometrist: I remember being fascinated by how much my first pair of glasses changed my perception and I wanted to be able to bring that joy to other people. I still have those glasses! In my spare time, I enjoy tennis, pickleball, running, traveling, and spending time with my wife, our two sons, and great friends. My favorite part of helping my patients is just being able to interact with such a diverse group of individuals each day. I learn a little something new from each patient, while helping them see better at the same time.
