About Dr. Daniel Schwartz
Dr. Schwartz specializes refractive cataract surgery offering the most modern techniques and intraocular lenses currently available. He is a respected cornea specialist, general ophthalmologist and has expertise in the management of dry eyes as well. He also focuses on the medical and surgical treatment of pathology of the cornea. Dr. Schwartz accepts new patients above age 12.
Dr. Schwartz received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at Duke University. He completed his medical school and ophthalmology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA where he was born and raised. He moved to Boston to complete a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at Tufts University and at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. He has been in private practice in the surrounding Boston areas since 2018. Dr. Schwartz joined Boston Eye Physicians and Surgeons in 2020.
Dr. Schwartz is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is an avid basketball and soccer player and enjoys hiking, scuba diving and traveling with his family.

Great experience provided by my doctor and his staff. However not pleased with zocdoc endless emails, text messages. I have approximately 75-100 various vendors who do similar constant emails and text messages. Do you have any idea how much time these emails/text messages consume?

This was the first tiem i saw Dr Schwartz, although I have been coming to this practice for many years. He has an excellent understanding of dry eyes, how how it might be affecting my site and new ideas as to how to treat it. Dr Schwartz also took the time to read my file and listen to new symptoms. I was most impressed.

The office and equipment is and shabby. I waited more than half an hour to see the doctor, though it seemed like there were hardly any patients there. The technician team was wandering around looking for things to do.

Have been a patient of the practice since the 1980s and of Dr Schwartz for the past year. The office staff performance has often left much to be desired. The physicians have always been first-rate and that characterization includes Dr. Schwartz, who has been my ophthalmologist for the past year. He’s highly competent, warm, and easily approachable.
