The person who did the initial eye exam explained everything, moved with precision and care, and showed me the results of everything on the computer. Dr. Schwartz is wonderful; I've liked him from the first time I met him 3 years ago for consultation for cataract surgery. Both eyes had to be done a few weeks apart. He knew how nervous I was, he was very sweet, and kept me and the surgery room in general a gentle environment. I have recommended this practice to anyone looking for eye surgery. About Dr. Daniel Schwartz
Dr. Schwartz specializes refractive cataract surgery offering the most modern techniques and intraocular lenses currently available. He is a respected cornea specialist, general ophthalmologist and has expertise in the management of dry eyes as well. He also focuses on the medical and surgical treatment of pathology of the cornea. Dr. Schwartz accepts new patients above age 12.
Dr. Schwartz received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics at Duke University. He completed his medical school and ophthalmology residency at Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond, VA where he was born and raised. He moved to Boston to complete a fellowship in Cornea and External Disease at Tufts University and at Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston. He has been in private practice in the surrounding Boston areas since 2018. Dr. Schwartz joined Boston Eye Physicians and Surgeons in 2020.
Dr. Schwartz is a member of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology. He is an avid basketball and soccer player and enjoys hiking, scuba diving and traveling with his family.

Dr. Schwartz worked hard at giving my 19 year old son a good prescription. He was lovely to my son, but not so to me, his mother. He was a bit abrupt with me. Also, we booked an annual checkup and I had to remind him of that. I will not be back.

Dr. Schwartz presented as very knowledgeable and highly experienced in performing cataract surgery. He thoroughly explained the replacement lens options and the trade-offs. He and the technical associate did an outstanding job listening to me and tailoring the plan to my specific goals for restoring better vision. The technical associate was highly experienced and the most knowledgeable/capable I've ever had at an ophthalmology practice. The day after my appointment, Dr. Schwartz responded promptly to the follow-up questions I emailed him.
