About Dr. Danny VanDan
Dr. Danny VanDan completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, San Diego, earning a Bachelor of Science in General Biology. He then obtained his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry. Dr. VanDan began his career working as an optician, technician, and office manager right after high school. Driven by a strong passion for optometry, he decided to return to school to become an optometrist and enhance his patient care skills. Since 2013, Dr. VanDan has been practicing optometry. He believes optometry holds a unique place in healthcare because many patients may not regularly visit their primary care doctor or dentist when feeling healthy, but even slight changes in vision prompt them to see an optometrist. Optometrists are trained to evaluate patients for various health conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and many other diseases. Outside of work, Dr. VanDan enjoys spending time with his wife and young daughters.

He was very knowledgeable as well as being able to acknowledge the Asian genes of bad eye sight which was the exact reason I went with an Asian eye doctor & I appreciated the transparency with my type of vision ! After 4 different eye doctors, I managed to come across a great one at last!

It was my first visit and everyone was so personable. John was welcoming , Jen was attentive , Dr. D was knowledgeable and made my experience a smooth transition to a new optometrist. Mark handled my insurance for my frames and was able to educate me on what would be covered. Overall,really enjoyed my experience, very smooth.

The staff and nurses were pleasant. I didn’t have the same doctor who I scheduled with, but due to this being my first time at the clinic it wasn’t a big deal to me. The doctor was nice, engaging, funny, and of course knowledgeable. The staff was also very helpful when handling my insurance when I wasn’t too sure how to tell them my insurance info. Overall, a great experience.

My experience with eye care specialties of Colorado was great. First off, the office and exam areas are very clean and inviting. The staff along with Dr VanDan are very friendly and knowledgeable. The optician we worked with explained things well and offered great recommendations for glasses. We never felt pressured. Additionally, Dr VanDan really makes you feel comfortable with his gentle approach and explanation of things during the exam. Highly recommend.
