About Dr. Darrell Witt

Darrell Witt, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry in 1996 and earned his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics from the University of South Carolina in 1987. A South Carolina native, Dr. Witt attended the University of South Carolina on a Navy ROTC Scholarship and later served as a Navy line officer aboard the USS Fearless. He then pursued optometry through a military Health Professions Scholarship. After graduation, he served as a Medical Service Corps Army officer and practiced as both an Army and civilian optometrist at Fort Jackson, retiring after more than 30 years of federal service. Dr. Witt provides comprehensive eye exams and is committed to helping patients achieve their best possible vision. He values working alongside other healthcare providers to support the overall health of the community. He is a member of the American Optometric Association and the South Carolina Optometric Physicians Association. Dr. Witt and his wife, Laura, have three children and enjoy spending time with family throughout the Carolinas.
