About Dr. David Barber
David Barber, O.D., received his Doctor of Optometry from Salus University (formerly Pennsylvania College of Optometry) in May 1990. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1986. Dr. Barber's journey to optometry began during his time working in special education, where he developed a keen interest in the human visual system and its role in learning. This inspired him to switch careers, dedicating himself to helping individuals with vision challenges. Dr. Barber takes pride in making the world clearer for his patients every day. His passion for improving vision and enhancing lives drives his commitment to exceptional patient care.

Review: Disappointing Experience with Dr. Joe Broadway
I had a very disappointing experience with Dr. Joe Broadway. His bedside manner was poor, he yawned throughout my exam, which made me feel like he wasn’t engaged or attentive.
When he fitted me with contacts, I immediately told him that I couldn’t see clearly. Despite my concerns, he insisted I continue wearing them. Upon leaving the exam room, I expressed again that my vision was blurry and that I didn’t feel comfortable driving. Instead of addressing the issue, he responded dismissively, saying, “Take them off,” and walked away.
I expected a much more professional and caring experience. This visit left me feeling frustrated and unheard. I would not recommend Dr. Broadway based on my experience.
