About Dr. David Chow
David Chow is a well-rounded ophthalmologist serving his patients in Reston and Vienna, VA. Dr. Chow, who has been in practice since 1982, currently serves as Chair on the Political Action Committee Board of the Medical Society of Virginia, Richmond, VA. and he is President Emeritus of the Medical Society of Northern Virginia, McLean, VA. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Ophthalmology and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and the Medical Society of Virginia.
Dr. Chow completed his medical education at Emory University, where he also earned his Master’s degree in public health. He worked at the Washington Hospital Center to complete his residency in ophthalmology.
He also trained at the Children’s Hospital Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Dr. Chow’s clinical areas of expertise include patients who are experiencing dry eye, vision loss, macular degeneration, glaucoma, cataracts and cornea problems. In addition to performing routine eye exams and providing eyeglasses and contact lens prescriptions, Dr. Chow also treats eye emergencies such as eye trauma and glaucoma attacks. Utilizing a patient-centered approach to medicine, he treats all of his patients with the utmost care and respect, and looks forward to the opportunity to serve you and your family.
