Dr. Spande retired from military service and then enrolled in optometry school at the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago, Illinois. Dr. Spande graduated with a Doctorate in Optometry in 2013 with a focus on cornea and contact lenses. Dr. Spande and his wife live in Gilbert, AZ and volunteer with a service organization dedicated to training service dogs in their spare time.
