Great communication! The girl who came in to go over things with me was very down to earth and relatable which made me feel so comfortable. I wish I would've got her name, but she was pretty awesome! She definitely is an asset to that office. Dr. Hamby has always made me feel heard about any concerns I have. Answers all my questions and even makes me laugh at times because as a woman, she gets it. She also has a great office staff! Highly recommend getting your mammogram there too, as the girl who did mine was so gentle and quick.

Dr. Hamby has great bedside manner and is consistently an active listener - she was the first doctor to take my IC pain and discomfort seriously and help me figure out what the cause might be. She's very easy to talk to and always makes me feel comfortable!

Dr. Hamdy was friendly, personable, efficient and good at explaining what she was doing and why. She asked me if I had had a bone density test and I said no, she she gave me a script. She explained why t is important to have an exam after 65. I really like her! Her office staff was friendly and helpful!

Not only that, she spent plenty of time going over my health history and current needs, and which options might give me future issues, while also making the less pleasant parts of the visit go as quickly as possible. The office staff and the nurse that helped me were wonderful and very polite. I notified the nurse that took me back that I have some trauma in my past that makes these appointments very difficult and she was very understanding and reassuring.
I had a little bit of a wait for the doctor before she came in, but nothing more than you'd expect. The doctor was polite in the beginning but when I started explaining what I was looking for I was cut off, dismissed, spoke down, and overall it was awful. I would begin to explain my symptoms or the reasoning I wanted something done depending on the tests and before I could dive into the symptoms fully or explain myself fully. I was cut off, spoken over and shut down. At one point, she even seemed to get angry with me because I wasn't able to articulate my words quick enough before she would cut me off again.
I strongly advise anyone with a history of trauma, seek care elsewhere or with a different physician. You will not be heard with her.
