“This was my first eye exam and I did a lot of research before selecting a doctor's office because I have a pretty big fear of things touching my eyes. The assistants that do the initial tests were very patient and walked me through everything since I was having trouble with the air-puff test. Dr. Adair was very thorough in explaining what the tests meant and any recommendations for eye care in the future. I felt comfortable and the whole process was quick without feeling rushed. Overall great bedside manner, would recommend.”

About Dr. Edwin Adair
Dr. Edwin Adair brings 16 years of experience to New Era Eyecare. He graduated from Indiana University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and earned his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago in 1996. After graduation, Dr. Adair relocated to northern Virginia, where he explored multifaceted modes of practice. He honed his skills working at a LASIK center, contributed to ocular pathology in a medical practice, and perfected his trade during 11 years in a high-volume commercial office. In 2010, Dr. Adair launched New Era Eyecare, equipped with the latest technology, including electronic refractions and state-of-the-art digital retinal imaging. He has distinguished himself through his dedication to occupational vision and hard-to-fit contact lenses. Dr. Adair has also been active in the Gift of Sight program and in efforts to fight brain cancer, receiving "The Skippy Award" in 2007 for his involvement in finding a cure. Blessed with three children-two girls and a boy-he devotes his attention to them when not in the office. It's a great day when the doctor can find a moment to cheer on the Indiana Hoosiers!
