She’s so awesome and attentive i love her
Wow. Where do I start. For one, she was in a rush, and this was not told to me beforehand. So I still went, in hopes of discussing my issues with her. I was seen by the receptionist/nurse for the basics like height/weight and while she was not rude, she wasn’t pleasant. Typical receptionist with an attitude. After I undressed for the examination, Dr. brown came in and barely introduced herself. She quickly skimmed through my paperwork and I didn’t get any chance to discuss my reason for being there, she just jumped into the exam. Because she didn’t read my paperwork thoroughly she must’ve overlooked where I put that I was NOT sexually active. This led to a traumatic, excruciatingly painful Pap smear. She never walked me step by step. Never heard/saw her lubricate the speculum. Within 1 second the tool was shoved inside and it was so bad. I wanted to tell her to stop right away. Right before she pulled it out i cried. It was in for about 4-5 minutes and she “had trouble finding my cervix”. She wanted me to ask her questions during the pap which I couldn’t speak because I was in such pain. She just wanted to rush through my concerns. I felt violated. I even asked her to be extremely gentle but she was in a rush to catch a cab, so she didn’t care. Extremely unprofessional, selfish & I would not recommend (especially for a pap) unless you are a sexually active woman. During the pelvic exam, she told me she “felt something” and she didn’t even care to elaborate. I was the one who had to get her to speak more on it. My follow up (3 looong weeks after), I never received a call back on my results. I had to go and get them which was ridiculous because I needed medication this whole time and had to wait an entire 3 weeks for them. The follow up was sped through even though she said she’d answer all of my questions that she couldn’t on the day of the prior appointment. She told me to get a pelvic ultrasound (that I had to remind her of as if I’m the doctor) and she never even gave me the referral! Beyond careless. I previously had a male gyno and wanted to try a woman. I’m returning back to my caring male gyno! I made a huge mistake coming here!
My personal experience was awesome. She was VERY gentle I did not feel any pain during the procedures. Dr. Brown was very professional and explained things, she answered any questions that I had and I will most definitely be going back to that practice.
The doctor addressed all concerned and answered questions appropriately. She’s very gentle and on point. Front desk staff was wonderful as well.
I like Dr. Brown. She is professional, friendly, patient, and answered my questions.
She is great! I love her! She is the best!
I highly do NOT recommend this doctor and this office to anyone. There were many reviews from previous patients which caused me to see her. Going in initially she was kind and the nurses were too. Every visit after that, the front desk lady, Alani with the different colored hair/hat (?), always showed an attitude and talked down on me because she couldn't hear me over the loud TV and gets annoyed when I asked questions. When I call the office, she answers unprofessionally (I wonder if I called the wrong # every time she answers). Some dude used to call me from his PERSONAL phone to confirm appointments and one time he answered my call and I heard him clear as day cussing out another driver while he was still on the road. I hung up and was very afraid to go back to this office again after that experience. It seems like Dr. Brown hired close family and friends to work for her so I never was comfortable all the times after my first visit. I continued seeing her only because I was searching for another doctor for prenatal care. Dr. Brown always rushed my appointments and wouldn't give me the time to ask questions. When she called me into her office to discuss test results, and I would finally be given the chance to ask questions (regarding other tests I need to take, or to fill out necessary work papers) she always had to make a comment and would get frustrated. I couldn't go to work for 1 1/2weeks because she and her nurse failed to remember to fill out my paperworks twice and when I reminded them they told me she needs 5 business days to fill them out. When Dr. Brown had patients who were in labor, the nurse wouldn't let the patients in the waiting room know, instead she waits over an entire hour to inform us that she's caught up with a patient in labor and not even in office. I would sometimes have to wait 2hrs - 2 1/2hrs just to be seen for less than 5min (even when she is in office). Their office isn't appealing/welcoming, and the rooms are frightening (very disorganized, supplies out in the open and scattered, plastics from needles or tools from previous patients would still be left on the counter). When I finally found a great doctor for prenatal care, I wasn't even comfortable to go in the office physically to pick up my medical reports because of the nurse's and Dr.'s expected attitude towards my decision. I requested several times via fax after filling out a consent to release my reports to the office and they never sent my records. I had to do some of the tests over again due to this. I couldn't trust her to be there for me at my appointments so she lost my trust to deliver my baby. All the best to whomever continues to go to her.
Love her smile she makes u feel comfortable through whatever procedure she’s going to do . She lets you know what she’s doing next , dr Brown is gentle and makes the appt as painless as possible . My first pregnancy appt and it was a great one .
It was fast & informative. She is a great ob/gyn doctor.
Dr. Brown treats you with dignity and respect. She is very caring and non-judgmental. Dr. Brown is not only a professional but she is a very down-to-earth and engaging type of person/doctor. This is why i would higly recommend her.
Dr. Brown had a great bedside manner and made me feel comfortable.
Dr. Brown staff greeted me with a smile and was very friendly. Dr. Brown was attentive and addressed all my concerns.I did not feel like My time with Dr. Brown was rushed. The office was clean and well kept. I was pleased with my visit as usual.
Waited for a while but overall my experience with the staff and the doctor was great
Very helpful and kind doctor who always takes your physical health as utmost importance. She listened to all my concerns and was also very quick though thorough which I appreciate. The only thing I wish is that the rooms were a little more organized and clean (examining table/seat is always sanitary though).
I waited less than 10 mins to be see. Dr. Brown was very nice and straight forward. Her staff was very helpful.
The staff was nice, but nothing was explained to me. The Dr didn’t even introduce herself before she started poking and prodding. My anxiety going in was high and I was hoping to ask some questions to alleviate it. There was no time. If you want to feel any TLC I would not recommend. However, the Dr is efficient and seems to know her stuff.
Very personable. Great hospitality.
Dr. Brown has an amazing bedside manner. She is professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. Her staff is efficient and pleasant. The office is clean and easily accessible by public transportation. My experience was great. I have white coat anxiety and usually dread going to the doctor, but I am looking forward to my next annual visit with Dr. Brown. I have already recommended her to others.
She made me feel comfortable , she was very nice ?? wait time just took long ??
The wait time was a bit extreme. I waited about 45 mins in the lobby, then another 20 minutes in another room waiting for the nurse to take my vitals. Dr. Elaine is great and comforted and talked me through the whole process as it was my first time seeing an OB-GYN. I would definitely recommend her as a doctor, I just didn’t like waiting so long.
My actual visits with her good the only thing today was myself and my partner was there even before the receptionist. We were sitting there for about 20 minutes before he (the receptionist) walked in, then he looked at us, sat down AND STILL DIDNT SAY ANYTHING !!!! Until my partner said something to him first which I thought was incredibly terrible Our appointment was for 11 the receptionist got there around 1130 and the doctor didn’t come in until around one-ish. Now don’t get me wrong I know that it was some bad weather but we were on time…and if you’re going to be late at least have the decency to at least great us first. We thought that it was incrediblely rude.
Dr. Brown is so relatable and she is very knowledgeable. She is very friendly and I feel very comfortable with her. Definitely plan on keeping her as my primary GYN.
Honestly worst experience ever !!! My apartment was for 4:05 and I saw the doctor at 6 . The nurse spoke so low I could barely hear her . She left the room open when she was with me . Than told me to pee in a cup with no label with my name . In the bathroom there was 4 other pee cups from the patients I’m sure that’s where they test the pee . So unsanitary . I should have left right then but then she told me the doctor was going to see me soon and I had to wait an additional 45 mintues just for the doctor to run out the room while my legs in the air leaving the door open to go check on another patient . She came back in the room and didn’t even change her gloves . She was nice but that don’t make up for her unprofessional behavior . Never going back . I tried to support the community but this was just a disgusting experience .never going back
Dr. Brown is wonderful, very helpful and professional. Office staff were pleasant and professional. Great experience, highly recommend.
Dr.Brown is pleasant and very knowledgeable. She made me feel very comfortable.
Dr. Brown was great just wish the sonogram machine was working
I love my doctor very nice person in my visit was good
I had to wait over an hour for the appointment because they booked 4 other clients at the same time. The office was dirty, they left all of the doors open with patients in the room. The nurse did not use gloves when she took my blood. The exam room was dirty with other used equipment sitting on the counter.
I really liked Dr. Brown and would recommend her to others. She seems knowledgeable and very attentive and caring. The wait time may be long because she takes her time with her patients. I have felt rushed in and out at other offices.
I wish the doctor would call patients for results. Instead one has to go, without any notice, to get results. I didn't get my results until months later and they weren't particularly good. They're short staffed. Adding another employee would help. This was the second time I was asked to sit and wait in a dirty room. Doctor is nice but I won't be going back.
Wow. Dr. Brown made me feel so comfortable and she didn't rush me although I was nervous. The only downside was that I had to wait close to an hr before seeing her. But would I recommend her ? Absolutely. She was amazing.
The doctor's office was very disorganized. The receptionist was also the medical assistant? I went in for the routine check up, specified what I was there for, a number of times. Since they have a health app, I assumed I'll receive my results there. No. I called the office for my results and was told I need to come in. I was not told this from the very first appointment. Of course they'll tell you to come in, just to collect coins. I go in for my results and its not the full panel that I asked for. I had to get blood drawn again. Just for the next time I come in, they missed another testing. How hard is it to listen to your patient and test for what they want?? And the Dr was inattentive.
This was my first time, and I had a very pleasant experience!!
I will not return to this clinic. Everyone was polite, however, the entire experience was disorganized, the clinic seemed to be understaffed (one person filled both the receptionist and primary nurse role), and some of the practices were unprofessional (leaving exam room doors open with patients being seen inside). I waited over an hour to see the doctor for an exam that maybe took 5 minutes. Dr. Brown did not inform me before she performed part of the exam, and it caused me unnecessary physical pain.
I really like support my community, but after my follow up, I doubt that I will return to this office. The support staff was kind and friendly with the exception of the ultrasound tech who couldn't be bothered to introduce herself, explain the procedure or even speak to me face to face. Dr Brown was somewhat unprepared, she was not familiar with any of the information on my registration form; I thought she would have at least glanced at my paperwork while I waited 2 hours to see her. At the end of my exam she seemed uninterested in collecting urine or a blood sample. She insisted that it was up to me if I wanted those tested and then she quickly left the room.
My Experience with Dr. Brown was amazing. Dr. Brown's office is by far the best Gyno Office I have ever been too. Her staff are friendly and professional. The office atmosphere made getting a pap smear enjoyable!!
It was my first time seeing her she made me Feel comfortable the only thing that I didn't like was being on time for my appointment and waiting almost a hours to be seen by her. And the office seemly Wasn't busy just a couple of patients
Dr. Brown was attentive and friendly. I felt comfortable talking with her and was given advice that was helpful to me.
she made me feel VERY comfortable especially to talk to ! will probably be going back to her from now on
The wait was way too long but Dr. Brown was nice. I also like the fact that they used the Zocdoc system to fill out forms. Makes it easier to check in. Many doctors offices don't. Also appreciate the immediate follow up email.
Dr. Brown Listened and answered all my questions and was very pleasant. She made me feel very comfortable and if I have to wait all day for the great treatment I received, I will definitely wait. Also the receptionist is professional, and down to earth which is a extra plus plus plus for me.
I had a great visit with Dr. Elaine Brown but more than one month later I have not obtained the results of my labs. I have called the office four times and messaged through the practice patient portal. I want to know the results of my exam: that was the point of having the tests done. One number I called that was listed at the office said that they don't accept call. Another number was answered by a man clearly in a public area with a lot of commotion in the back ground like car horns and people talking and yelling loudly. He told me to call back 24 hours later at a different number.
Unorganized staff. Office door was left open when giving diagnosis - I'm sure that violates HIPAA. She was kind of rough during exam. She was nice but I didn't feel completely comfortable.
Overall it was an ok experience...
Great service all around. Wait was a little long but not too bad.
I had such a great experience with Dr. Brown. She was very personable and sweet. She took her time with me & was very friendly. It's hard to find a good OB-GYN that is not only knowledable but a good listener as well. She had a late start, which is fine...Luckily I didn't have anywhere to go and I was her final patient. She was so apologetic and appreciative of my patience and I am so glad I waited.
Wait time isn't long and she is great makes you laugh answers all your questions , make sure she ask the right things so she can know what you looking for out of the visit.
She's a people person.
Dr. Brown is amazing!! I found her on Zocdoc and I've been seeing her for years. She is warm, thorough, and lgbtqia friendly. Her staff is always professional, efficient, and patient.
My experience was great they were very friendly just a long wait to see the doctor
This was my 3rd appt with Dr. Elaine Brown and I definitely think she will continue to be my Gynecologist. She listened to my concerns and provided me with the options that were unique to me. She also makes me laugh- great sense of humor.
She was really nice and easy to talk to! Examination was thorough and she addressed my main concerns. I felt very comfortable and will definitely go back! The entire visit took less than 2 hours including waiting time which is pretty rapid to me!
Took a while for the doctor to get to me but she was very personable and took her time with me rather than rushing through the visit to get to other patients.
It appears the office has two staff members; the doctor and the receptionist/medical assistant. There was no clear communication on when/how a patient should receive results. Their messaging system does not work so you are forced to call in and that is not always a success. Since the staff is limited, apparently some information will get lost in translation and you are again forced to reiterate details that should have been documented at your initial visit. Wait time is simply horrible. And her beside manners are barely there. I'm a patient, not a customer at a deli. This is my health and deserves your undivided attention.
The reviews for Dr. Brown were what drew me to book an appointment with her. Unfortunately, I was not made aware ahead of time that she is a specialist, which in this case means that I am double charged - once for the initial visit, and then again to receive the results from my tests. I have never heard of this procedure before. The receptionist informed me that she tells patients if the office doesn't reach out, then the results were fine. Now, my prescription will not be refilled for some reason. Additionally, I waited about 30 minutes in the FREEZING waiting room, and another 15-20 after getting my blood pressure/height/weight taken (I actually just told the assistant my weight and height, she didn't even take them). The exam itself was very rough, the tools used were made of plastic which was not something I had experienced in the past, and the room was not very clean (garbage on the floor, I didn't see any hazardous waste bins). I asked for additional information about IUD's to which the Doctor stated she didn't like herself and didn't recommend but no other reading material our sources were offered.
Dr. Brown was warm and gentle and kind made me feel very relaxed that I can ask or say what I needed to axe answer all my questions with no problems explain where I can understand it
She was super sweet and answered all my annoying questions. I'll be back!
Very professional.her staff is amazing.my first time here and i will be back...??
Dr. Elaine Brown had a great bedside manner and was pretty funny. She made me feel comfortable and answered all my questions. I must say the receptionist was quite the workhorse from being the receptionist to getting my room ready to taking my blood then checking me out again, I thought I was seeing a magic trick! The wait time was kind of longer then I expected but the experience was well worth it.
I went for an infection. I waited for about 15-30 minutes just to speak to a nurse, and then had to wait again. The nurse had all my info in front of her that I filled out on zocdoc, but still asked me for my weight and height twice. There were two girls other than me, so I couldn't understand why it took so long. Inside the hall where patients were being treated most doors were left open by the nurse, leaving no room for privacy. There was only one doctor and one nurse, so perhaps that is why it took so long? When I finally met with Dr. Brown, she rushed through my appointment. She seemed in a hurry to end our session, not even letting me properly look up the address of my pharmacy. Perhaps that is why she never sent my much needed prescription to the right place. I called about this matter, and spoke to a male receptionist who told me he would relay my message to Dr. Brown. I still have not received my prescription. I now have to make an app elsewhere to receive a prescription for a basic infection. Dr. Brown seems like she has a very kind personality, but she rushed through the appointment, and her office overall felt unprofessional, with the semi rude nurse, and the inability to check forms that were right in front of her. Had Dr. Brown just checked my forms, I would have my prescription by now. Don't let all the fancy tech in the office fool you. Also, their office has a weird system where after your first appointment they call you saying you haven't been there in a year. Its a glitch that makes the office look unprofessional, and should be fixed. Please be noted this happened in 2017. I will not be going here again.
I left the location in pain after the visit and didn't get any treatment for things I showed concern. I felt uneasy with seeing other patients' personal information easily. The doctor, however, was very pleasant and relatable.
Phenomenal! I loved her. She was vet patient and understanding and willing to answer all my questions. She was accommodating and worked hard to find a solution To my issue. Finally a doctor who listens to my complaints instead of writing me off and sending me on my way with some drugs ! Cared about my quality of life and didn't give me the old okey doke. Best GYN I've been to to date ! And I've seen many ....
Dr.Brown seemed wholly unprepared for my appointment. I had noted an allergy on my appointment form, and only after being checked in and paying my Co-Pay was I told that my allergy could not be accommodated. Because of this, I was given an incomplete exam. In addition, Dr.Brown seemed to assume I was interested in having children, despite birth control being a key focus of this exam. She asked "When are you having baby #1?". Not, "Are you interested in having children?". Not, "Have you thought about children?". I was unimpressed with this bedside manner. Later, while having my blood drawn, her assistant was on the phone with a personal call the entire time, giving me instructions in between speaking on the phone. I expect my OB/GYN to be prepared, attentive, and sex-positive. As a result, I will not be returning to this doctor.
This was my Best experience at a GYN appointment, she makes you feel so comfortable. She is very informative and i will never go to a male doctor again because it feel it's better getting information from someone who experiences what we experience. Definitely my new GYN!
It was my first time going to a gynecologist, I was afraid that it was going to be an uncomfortable situation but she was very nice and professional so I felt very comfortable.
I loved that Dr. Brown makes you feel comfortable and makes sure she answers all of your questions@
I love her she has and will always be The BEST !!!
She was awesome. I finally found a good doctor. Yay
I like Dr. Brown; she was warm and friendly, seems to know her stuff and she listens; however, the appearance of the office old and outdated. Otherwise all was well.
She is the best ever! Even though it was my first appointment, I felt very comfortable.
she is so sweet, made me feel really comfortable, answered my long list of questions and was very patient!!! thank you so much
Very personable, friendly and kind
She's awesome, to the point, straight forward & gentle ... I'll be back soon
Wonderful, totally loved the experience
very professional and courteous.
I felt really rushed, there was no one else in the waiting room and I was waiting out there forever. When they finally called my name, I went in the back for the nurse to weight me and hand me a cup to go in...again this is after I waited an hour. Why not speed up the process and have me do that from the moment that I got there. My time with her was about 20 minutes. She was nice and all but again, I felt rushed and that's not how you want to feel by the doctor who is taking care of your intimate area.
Dr. Brown and her staff were phenomenal. She was thorough, asked me alot of questions about my history and care. The office is clean and easy to get to. I've been to a number of gynos and they've all felt a bit impersonal and cold. I am so happy to have found her. She's very sweet, I feel like I've,just found my gyno for life!
She makes her patients very comfortable by engaging in conversation and answering all questions.
pleasant, soft spoken, i felt comfortable, all my questions were answered and she was knowledgable. she did the necessary test to confirm my questions. i think i found my new gyn.
The office seems pretty disorganized - I was scheduled for an appointment at a time the doctor was not present, then rescheduled and had to wait a considerable amount of time bc she had not arrived yet. I understand things can happen, but it wasn't a great first impression. She recommended a further test, but there was no one at the front desk when I left to coordinate that with and no follow-up from her office. I called to follow up and am waiting for a reply. I probably received close to 30 reminders and notifications via text and email, including several that said I hadn't made an appointment for over a year (even though this was my first visit), and was told this was just how their system worked and couldn't be rectified. The doctor herself was perfectly nice and I don't have enough experience to fully judge her competency as a doctor since it was a fairly routine annual exam. I hope it was an isolated bad incident, but did not have an overall positive experience.
Really enjoyed my visit. Made me feel comfortable. Also very efficient.
I love everything about my doctor office????
Dr Brown is excellent. I'm so glad I found her. I'm comfortable there and she has a wonderful staff. I definitely recommend her.
Dr. Brown is good at what she does . She is knowledgable and very hands on . Very thoughful towards her patients needs .
I was looking for a GYN for the longest she is so friendly & very open to listen . Normally I hide things or don't say much but with ms brown & her staff I feel at home and love it there
Good Dr. always a thorough exam and short wait times.
She's always THE BEST ?
She is a nice woman and a good doctor.
She does not answer any calls! Very un professional.
First of all the place is clean. She was professional in explaining things to me to calm some of the fears I had.
My visit was a A+. I am going to make shr my permanent Doctor.
Dr.brown was very nice but thestaff at the front desk are extremely rude and billed me incorrectly bu using the wrong lab thst my insurance does not cover, despite having my insurance information . Hundreds of dollars in bills that i refuse to pay ! Not a good experience will seek care elsewhere
I truly dislike writing bad reviews but I had such a horrible experience I just had to. This was my first time seeing an OBGYN n I got to the office at 1:45pm for a 2:00pm appointment and the doctor did not arrive until after 3:00pm which is just unacceptable. It's my own fault for even waiting but getting to the actual exam, I told Dr. brown that this was my first time seeing an OBGYN and instead of taking her time with me she just rushed through the exam without much information and did not explain what she was doing and why. I was asking so many questions because she just didn't provide enough information at all. Such a horrible, horrible experience. I will never go back.
Last time I was here the wait was really long, but after my experience today, I think that was just a fluke. I was there 20 minutes early and she saw me before my appointment time. She was funny and personable and I did not feel rushed at all.
Not my first time seeing her. Pleasant, easy to talk to and in and out service
Dr. Brown is the most caring ob/gyn I have ever had the pleasure having . She is informative and has an positive bedside manner.
Once she saw me she was very personable and made me feel at ease. I liked the doctor a lot and hope that the wait time was just a fluke. I will be going back but I am very disappointed that it seems like I have to expect it to take the whole day. I showed up at 12:10 for a 12:30 appointment I was not seen until 2:30. I took off work to have a day of appointments, you would think that a 12:30 GYN appointment would be early enough to make it to a 3:30 dentist appointment in the same neighborhood but if you are going here you would be wrong. Also, the address on ZocDoc does not mention that this is an Omnicare center where you will have to buzz Omnicare and then guess what floor you should go to since there is no directory or label or anyone to ask. (it's the 2nd floor)
Great medical team. Dr. Elaine Brown was very courteous and caring. Highly recommend Dr. Brown.
Worth the wait. She is amazing!
She made me feel comfortable. I would recommend her.
Dr. Brown is great and so is her staff. My appointment was quick and I felt taken care of. Dr. Brown is also very personable and has an excellent bedside manner.
It went well
Dr.brown is Avery good doctor I love her????
She's very caring. She takes the time to listen and gives you as many options as possible
She was very attentive and listened to me and my needs, my prior physician just wanted me in and out, very long wait. But Dr. Brown is very good with keeping track and her staff is professional also.
I came early and had to wait bc other patients were in front of me. This was the first time I've had to wait after seeing her three other times; and when her asst saw I was only there for results she asked Dr Brown to see me right away. Dr Brown is a great resource for women of color. She is a ring and professional. I feel very comfortable with her.
Can't place in WORDS ?????? Except Phenomenal
The waiting room was extremely unclean along with the bathroom, the receptionist was rude and she had a child there. Elaine, tried to tell me that my pap didn't go well and I have always received positive pap results. She tested me and it came back negative as I had expected and told her their was nothing wrong with me. I believe that women should trust there own bodies and not allow for other people to put fear in them, when you have been living in your body for XXXX amt of years. As a black women, I really didn't expect this type of mentality from her but anyhow I will never return.
She is awesome!!!
Though I was pleased with the wait time and the staff that works at her office, Dr. Brown did not have the greatest of bedside manners. She did not try to converse or create a relationship with me before engaging in a pelvic exam. Then, I received antibiotics without a clear explanation, and when I asked for one she seemed defensive. I understand that she was feeling under the weather, but I believe that doctors should empower their patients to ask questions and have clear explanations for their prescriptions.
She's such a lovely person and a very knowledgeable Doctor! Kudos to her !
I loved it!! Dr. Brown was very personable. I'm glad I found her. She was straight forward and showed general concern for me. I would recommend her.
Short wait time... However Doctor is very unprofessional.. Awful beside manner and office is outdated
Note:(Please publish either Anonymous or with my initials only) Dr Brown is quick and thorough. It was a grear visit!
I was already wary about returning to see Dr. Brown from my previous appointment but had to because I needed the results from my procedure.I had previously inquired about whether or not they could be mailed to me or given to me over the phone and they said I had to go in. This differed from my previous experiences with doctors who have given me my results over the phone and via encrypted messages. I was highly disappointed because that meant I would have to pay for an additional doctors visit just to get my lab results. For my previous appointment I had to wait almost 2 hours to see Dr. Brown. The office assistant seemed overwhelmed with work; she noted that someone had called out that day. She was very kind and efficient, especially in light of her workload. The waiting room was very full. Before a procedure is done, I am used to the instruments for the procedure already being prepared in the room, often laid out on a tray. It is also common for doctors to wash there hands in the exam room before beginning a procedure. Neither or these were true for my appointment. Also, the doctor had to rummage through a plastic storage bin, that was just sitting on the counter, of various medical instruments to find what she needed- they were not individually wrapped in plastic and looked as if they were all just thrown in a bin. The lid to the bin was not airtight by any means. It was NOT obvious that the instrurments had been sanitized and the way they were stored out in the open seemed unprofessional to me. During the procedure, Dr. Brown sometimes explained what she was doing but not always like many OBGYN doctors do. I had to ask questions about what to expect after the procedure and what I should and should not do; she did not tell me straight out. She seemed like a knowledgeable doctor but she was not as forthcoming with information as I prefer my doctors to be. For this follow-up appointment for the lab results from the precious procedure, I waited about an hour and a half to see Dr. Brown. Her office opened at 4pm but she didn't arrive until 4:50pm (my appointment, as well as someone else's in the waiting room, was at 4:30pm). The person who also had a 4:30pm appointment said the long wait was pretty typical of her experience with the office. The front desk was very disorganized. Her front desk assistant was absent so the assistants for a previous doctor stayed but they were unfamiliar with her system and could not answer questions regarding the order in which she would see patients and had difficulty signing patients in. I spent maybe 5 minutes with her discussing my lab results and had to ask for a copy of them. Additionally, their credit card machine was out of service so they wanted to photocopy my credit card and drivers license so that they would run it the next day. This made me uncomfortable knowing that my credit card information would be documented in that way. All in all they follow-up appointment felt like a waste of time and I do not think I will be returning to Dr. Brown's office.
She's an amazing doctor. She takes her time and make you feel comfortable.
i love dr. brown. Im so sad she no longer accepts my insurance. I am thinking about switching my insurance just to keep her.
After waiting for over an hour, I was rushed through the procedure and nothing was explained. I even let her know it was my first time at a gynecologists office. There was then a lot of follow up hassle about my tests and she was not sympathetic at all, after finally being allowed to speak with her on the phone.
Dr Brown was great! She is very personable and friendly. My visit was fast and I felt comfortable the entire time. My only complaint would be that the exam rooms seem cluttered...with all sorts of things. If you look past the clutter you do see everything is sealed and what not, but I don't want to see a bag of empty pee containers and other supplies--even if they are clean and sterile.
Dr Brown is personable and really listens. She takes time with her patients rather then rushing them out the door.
I have been going to this doctor for over three years, despite office changes (which were for the best, anyway) and always feel comfortable and that my needs are addressed.
She was very informative Very good. I wouldn't mind referring her to others.
I love Dr. Brown she very good and always make my visits comfortable
She takes the time to listen to what I have to say,she relate to me very well her service was excellent meeting her for the first time.
Very professional staff, and Doctor Brown is the best
I had a great visit with the dr she was very efficient and very informative
So friendly and nice- did not push me out the door.
She was very friendly, considerate and did not hesitate to answer any questions I had. I definitely recommend her.
The doctor didn't bother to show up. After waiting for 30 min I asked the receptionist and she said Dr Brown isn't here yet. And they were all confused about my insurance, which I had used just 6 months before for a visit. It was a mess. I will find another gyno who is capable.
Dr. Brown is an excellent doctor, I would highly recommend her, only downside is the wait time to see her
The staff at the (slightly shabby) office is very very nice and very very competent. The only thing I did not like about this visit was how long I had to wait, when I was one of only 3 patients that was there at the time.
Dr. Brown is very personable. I became her patient in 2009 and am highly satisfied being in her care! During this visit, we chatted about our pets and she consoled me on the loss of my pet. She spoke about my concerns and the reason for my visit.I will return for my results in two weeks. I look forward to her addressing my mystery!
It was good! She is always accommodating and her staff is nice and corteous!
Doctor Brown make me feel very comfortable and shows concern and has a great compassion for her patients. My visit was great
It was my first time at a gyn. She didn't even know that but made me feel super comfortable as if she did.
Was seen right away when I arrived for my appointment. Got my BC with no problem.
Dr.Brown is a very good doctor she makes you feel.comfortable and listen to your needs, always there for her patient she takes good care of you .
Dr. Brown was professional, had an excellent bedside manner and was completely balanced in her accessing my history and reason for visit.
She was very kind and considerate and easy to talk to. Definitely someone I would recommend.
Nice person. But very rundown office and waited 2 hours to be seen the first time and had to come in to receive test results, that appointment took me 1.5 hours to get the results. Waste of time.
Dr. Brown made me feel comfortable right away. She answered all of my questions. I was literally in and out! Will definitely be returning to her.
She was very pleasant, warm and caring. She exam was painless and she distracted me by speaking with me throught the exam. She asked important question and able to ease my fears regarding my concerns and questions. I would definitley recommend her.
Dr. Brown seemed like a good doctor but the facilities were terrible. The nursing staff also left much to be desired.
I enjoy my visits with Dr.Brown, she is a good docter. I just wish her office was bigger since she do share a office with another docter it could be very noisey.
I will continue to see her due to her professionalism and lack of discrimination.
Dr. Brown was kind, warm, patient and understanding. She fielded all of my questions well and was efficient in my exam and treatment. The first clinic doctor I've seen who cares and gives the time of day. I wanted to hug her when I left!
Dr. Brown was amazing; thorough and helpful and non-judgemental. The staff was all really nice and helpful as well. Wait time was a bit longer than expected, though.
Very nice doctor
It was excellent
I love her but she is always late! Other than time management she's a doll.
She is a people person can't wait to see her again.
Very knowledgeable, wonderful bedside manner. Definitely felt at ease and not judged. Highly recommend
Dr. Brown was lovely, very nice, friendly and seemed to care a lot about her patients. Her staff were also very sweet. However, the office itself could do with a bit of work and renovation.
Dr. Brown is very knowledgeable and personable.
DO NOT BOOK APPOINTMENTS IF YOU ARENT GOING YO GO BY THE APPOINTMENT
My visit went very well. These ladies were very professional and very sweet. I won't mind going back for another visit. Great job ladies.
The literally held my hand when I was getting blood taken. I love the staff. I've only been there once and it happend to be my 1st time ever at the gyn.. The doc was amazing and walked me through it all. It was fun. Love them all
Reception desk very unorganized, appts overlapping each other causing extremely long wait times.
It was ok but the wait tooooo long
The area her office resides in is not a great neighborhood. The waiting room is old, the seats are ripped/worn out; not very appealing. The nurse kept saying my last name wrong. The only aspect I liked was the doctor herself, ergo 3 stars. Doctor Brown is one of the nicest gynocologist I have ever met, she's patient, understanding and takes the time to explain what she's going to do and what the problem is. If her office was in a better area, with better decor I would have given her 5 stars instead of 3. Will I go back? Personally the area scares the hell out of me; this might be the last time I see doctor brown.
While the wait was longer than I've ever had to wait to see a physician (over two hours!), my experience with Dr. Brown was positive. Her bedside manner is warm and caring. The cleanliness of the office left much to be desired and was somewhat alarming for a clinical practice (rusty canisters, dripping bottles, papers piled everywhere), so it was helpful that Dr. Brown and the medical assistant were pleasant. Billing is a confusing hassel. I was reminded multiple times if I did not pay my bill "on time" I would be sent to collections, but was never told a specific date that this was due.
She was very nice!
VERY long wait. Crowded waitroom and unprofessional nurses. They were eating in between doing my vitals. Unbelievable.
Dr. Brown was amazing. Very friendly and professional. I don't look forward to going to a gyno, but she made me feel comfortable!!!! Her staff was also very nice. Could not ask for more.
The wait was long, but service still great!
First time patient and she made me feel extremely comfortable
She's professional. I like her as my Gyn doctor.
it was really good
She was very awesome and friendly.
My appt was 6pm. I was seen by the Dr. Brown by 6:30pm! She was plesant & gentle. I have no complaints. I highly recommend her; she is GREAT!
Dr. Brown is very patient. She educates and she has a very warm and welcoming attitude.
She is very precise, easy to communicate with. She gives a proper exam efficient...
Waited two and a half hours, one and a half of which I had to spend sitting with a cup of my own pee. Dr. Brown is nice, but the office is so horribly disorganized that it's not worth it.
This was a second visit to receive test results. I arrived to appointment on time and was informed by receptionist that the doctor would be an hour late. I asked why didn't they call in advance and the receptionist was told by doctor that clients could walk. I DON"T THINK SO!! I had to re schedule in order to get my results otherwise I wouldn't have returned.
It was wonderful.....and comfortable
Wait was long but she was amazing. Glad to have found her through ZocDoc!
She was a kind and patient Dr. Her bedside manner was great, but the wait was rough! I waited for my initial appointment for about an hour, and a little over 30 minutes for the follow up!
Good doctor but long wait time
Dr. Brown has a very good bedside manner and knowledgeable I feel comfortable with her. I never had a woman GYN before .
Amazing. I made the appointment online but zocdoc messed up the scheduling and Dr. Brown was not supposed to be available til much, much later in the day. Luckily, she was in the office preparing for a presentation that afternoon. She saw me right away with no hassle! She was incredibly friendly with a great personality. She completely put me at ease; I would definitely recommend her.
Dr. Brown was extremely knowledgable and took the time to review my history, which I appreciated. Highly recommended.
She's very nice and wasn't hard to get appt with last minute
I was fine with the visit.
