About Dr. Eliane Abou-Jaoude
Dr. Abou-Jaoude is exceptionally well qualified to provide excellent care to all of our adult and pediatric patients who seek accurate diagnosis and effective treatment of their allergy, asthma, and immunological diseases.
Dr. Abou-Jaoude received her M.D. degree at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, where she also completed her Residency training in Internal Medicine. She served as the third year Chief Resident.
Dr. Abou-Jaoude continued her training with a Fellowship in Allergy/Immunology at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. During her Fellowship, Dr. Abou-Jaoude conducted research studies which were published in peer-reviewed publications and gave oral presentations in the specialty of Allergy/Immunology.
One of Dr. Abou-Jaoude's recent research studies titled, "Association Between Pacifier Cleaning Methods and Child Total IgE," dealt with one likely cause of allergic diseases in children. This study was very well received among specialists in Allergy/Immunology, and it received considerable media attention.
Dr. Abou-Jaoude is a member of the American College of Allergy, Asthma, & Immunology (ACAAI). In addition, Dr. Abou-Jaoude is fluent in Arabic.

The doctor and their offices were fantastic. Zocdoc completely dropped the ball. Zocdoc told me my appointment was confirmed, had me fill out the paperwork, etc., but when I got to the office, they had no idea about my appointment or of the paperwork I filled out. The office was able to squeeze me in, thankfully.

It was a bit of a sticker shock at the end of the appointment, but I'm the type of person to prioritize my health I think it would have been nice to have an idea of the cost before a lot of the tests that were run.
The bedside manner was ok, but it was a rainy Monday, and doctors are human too.
This appointment did what it needed to do, and I'd come back.

This is a wonderful practice and the staff was amazing. On Zocdoc this practice was labeled out of network for my insurance, however, when I got there and checked in my insurance was able to be used. I just wish Zocdoc had updated info on what insurances were accepted because I almost canceled beforehand since I was nervous I would have to pay out of pocket.

Dr. Abou-Jaoude and her staff were excellent! Very friendly, seen quickly, and the doctor listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. She even explained how treatment plans can be different between doctors/practices and thoroughly talked about my plan and why she recommended it. Very happy and will definitely be back!
