About Dr. Elton Angoni

Elton Angoni is has been an associate optometrist at A Plus Optique for over three years. Originally from Canada, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of McGill prior to moving to Ohio to continue his education. At The Ohio State University, he became deeply involved in research and became one of only eight students to join the highly competitive T-35 program, receiving the prestigious T35 NIH National Research Service Award. Dr. Angoni graduated Ohio states with Honors, while receiving both his Doctorate of Optometry and a Masters in Vision Science. Post-graduation, Dr Angoni decided to pursue a residency position at Woolfson Eye Institute. During his residency, Dr Angoni was trained in both anterior and posterior segment ocular disease and refractive surgery management. Post-residency, Dr Angoni joined the team at A Plus Optique where he provides comprehensive and problem-focused eye exams. His focus in ocular disease management includes glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. He is also an affiliate with a Low Vision non-profit organization in his spare time, helping individuals with vision loss become more independent. Outside of work, Dr Angoni loves spending time playing tennis, traveling and trying to experience new foods. He is also loves meeting new people, spending time with his significant other, Sarah, and their little cat, Yoshi.
