“Dr. Elyse Schultz was amazing! The office staff were super efficient and my doctor did an amazing job handling all my concerns. I’m the first in my friend group to be pregnant, so everything is very new to me. They gave a full folder of FAQs, medicines that are safe to use, pregnant appt timelines, and general guidelines to how pregnancy and birth will go. She was able to make sure I knew what appts were best to make sure my partner was present and what tests were best to make sure baby was okay! I have been experiencing severe nausea and vomiting and she took me seriously and discussed all my options. I was given a plan and contact info in case I’m struggling during off hours. They were able to get me scheduled for my next appt asap and called me within the hr of my appt to make sure I had the information to have my records sent over to them. They assured me doctors are there during every delivery and appointment. They work with prentice which is a great facility. Strongly recommend!”

The check in/out and appointment process itself was efficient, and the staff was nice. The office/waiting room was alright, it could use some modernization or some new furniture/lighting though. I was a new patient and recently had my first appointment with Dr. Shultz. To be honest, I felt like I was being judged or dismissed at times during the consult. She
seemed like she was in a rush and was very quick with her answers. I would’ve liked a more face to face interaction. Unfortunately her back was pretty much facing me the entire time because she was zooming through the questions and typing on her laptop.

My first visit with Dr. Elyse Schultz was great! She was very knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns; she answered my questions and normalized some of the things I was worried about, which was very comforting from an OB-GYN. I’m a self-pay patient, so the cost of services was a little steep, but that is the case with most healthcare services when underinsured! Just be mindful if you are self-pay, the office does not offer income-based fee adjustments. The billing department was kind and thorough to make sure my appointment was charged correctly, which was appreciated. All in all, I’m happy to now be an established patient with Dr. Schultz!

Chicago Women’s Health has the fastest wait time out of any other women’s health clinic I’ve been to and the staff is always friendly. Dr. Schultz is always patient, attentive, great at listening and explaining things on a human level. It’s hard to find a great, trustworthy women’s health doctor and I always feel she is on my side and has my best interest in mind.

I have chronic pain and am disabled so usually when I go to any doctor, I’m expecting to be misunderstood and told that nothing can be done. I saw Dr. Schultz as a new patient and left feeling defeated and dismissed.
She seemed rushed the entire appointment, which left me feeling bad about asking all of my questions.
I wanted to discuss birth control options and was instead directed to a website to read over my options. What I wanted was to weigh the pros and cons with my doctor, based on my previous experiences and health history, not be told to do online research independently.
I mentioned I was struggling with a few things and she was very dismissive of me. For example, I asked if I could have my hormone levels tested and she quickly said no, that I don’t need it, and left the room. It’s my body, my health, and I think that I have every right to get a test if I feel like I need it.
Finally, I mentioned that I was having discomfort and pain during various parts of the exam and she neither adjusted to make it more comfortable nor did she tell me why I’d be experiencing pain during certain parts.
