About Dr. Engin Yilmaz

Engin Yilmaz, MD, PhD, is a board-certified neurologist who specializes in treating stroke, cerebrovascular disease and neuromuscular disease. He has additional expertise in electromyography (EMG) and botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for the treatment of spasticity and headaches. Dr. Yilmaz believes in treating the whole patient and is committed to ensuring that patients and their families understand all treatment options and the treatment process. Dr. Yilmaz earned his medical degree from Ankara University in Ankara, Turkey. He completed his internship and residency at Loyola University Medical Center in Maywood. Dr. Yilmaz also completed a fellowship in vascular neurology and clinical neurophysiology at Indiana University Medical Center in Indianapolis. He is certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Vascular Neurology.

Was terrible, didn’t listen to my symptoms. As soon as I said I had headaches he automatically stopped listening and just diagnosed me with migraines and called for 4+ prescriptions. Do not see this Dr if you have been chronically ill and trying to find answers because he may just suggest it’s related to your menstrual cycle.!
