About Dr. Enrique Quintero

Prior to joining Allergy & ENT Associates in August 1995, Dr. Quintero was in private practice as an allergist/ immunologist. He is certified by the American Board of Allergy and Immunology and is a fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology and the American College of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology.
Dr. Quintero received his medical degree from the University of Monterrey. He completed his residency at the Austin Pediatric Education Program of The Children’s Hospital of Austin. Fellowships followed in adult and pediatric allergy/ immunology at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and in pediatric pulmonary medicine at Baylor College of Medicine at Texas Children’s Hospital.
He has served as clinical professor of allergy and immunology at Baylor College of Medicine and The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and Houston, where he participated in training residents in the area of allergy, asthma and immunology. He serves on the board of directors and Finance committee of the Memorial Hermann Hospital System and MHMD.
Dr. Quintero’s advanced training in pulmonary medicine gives him an exceptional understanding of the clinical aspects of asthma treatment. He is married and has two sons.

Love this Dr!! I used to see him as a child and he has always been so great!! Now I take my daughter to him. We were actually running behind driving from across town because I insisted on seeing him here at spring location. He was so kind to still see us which is rare and unheard of. Dr. Quintero is the best ... he treated me in 2015 for a serious immune system issue and ongoing sinus infections. He has managed to get my allergies under total control. I trust him and appreciate his caring yet very professional bedside manner.

Out of all the Allergy and ENT doctors in the area, I selected this physician due to the clinic distance to my work and my home. My benefits were verified incorrectly causing me to wait hours and I was being charged more than I should have been. For the second appointment I showed up the 15 minutes prior and waited 40 minutes past my scheduled appointment time. It feels as though they feel like my time isn't valuable.
Now Dr. Quintero himself seems alright. When speaking he was real short and seems rushed. I just like for a physician to appear as though they are listening even if they aren't. I will give them one more try before I make my mind up on this facility.

Meeting with Dr. Quintero was fine but unnecessary.
All I needed was a review of the lab results and a discussion of next steps, which could easily have been done on the phone, and billed appropriately.
This visit basically used up my entire morning for no reason.

I chose Dr Quintero based on the reviews. My experience was quite opposite of most that have posted. I found him to be very dismissive and not kid friendly at all. He did not listen to me in fact he talked over me almost every time I spoke. He seemed to have been in a rush. He talks very fast then walks out. I returned a few days later as he suggested for testing on my 2 y/o son. This time I brought my husband who also agreed that Dr Quintero was pompous. He said why are you back. Well sir, you told me that I could bring him back as long as it was 5 days since he had benedryl. My son was given a 20 day rx for an antibiotic and medicine that knocks him out for 12 hrs. 19 days later he broke out with hives again today so we still don't know what is wrong with him. He sent us to have lab work (blood and urine). When I was called about the results the nurse said that it wasn't grapes or fish as we assumed. I was quite puzzled bc he told us in the office that it wasn't those 2 things. I was under the impression that he was testing for something, anything else. I grew very frustrated to know that my son endured that pain for nothing.
On a better note.... The nurses and all other staff were AMAZING! They were all very patient, kind and so empathetic to my son's situation. my husband said that the nurses seemed to know more than the doctor. I agree.

Always make a great experience with shot visits very quick! Enjoy my visits with Dr. Quintero very timely which is important but most important is that he gets right to the point and gets great results. First allergist I've been to where I actually noticed improvement!!!
