About Dr. Eric Kim

Dr. Kim grew up in Naperville and attended Saint Louis University on scholarship with a degree in Biology and Theology, graduating summa cum laude and highest honors. He remained there for his medical degree and was elected by his peers into the Gold Humanism Honor Society for his compassionate patient care. Dr Kim was involved in medical mission trips overseas and directed local health clinics for the underserved. Dr. Kim returned to Chicago to complete his ophthalmology residency at Loyola University and Edward Hines VA hospital. Afterwards, he worked at many clinics throughout California before returning to his hometown. His interests include multifocal and toric premium lenses, laser assisted cataract surgery, and minimally invasive glaucoma surgery. In his free time, he loves to go backpacking, rock climbing, or walking with his goldendoodle.
