Dr. Cohen began his career at the Illinois College of Optometry, where he earned his OD. He came to New York for an externship in Vision Training at State University of New York, followed by an externship in Low Vision at the Lighthouse for the Blind. Dr. Cohen stays involved with his peers through membership in a number of professional associations, including New York State Optometric Association.
In his spare time, Dr. Cohen loves to read and stay active with hobbies like scuba diving and skiing. He is happily married and has four sons, and loves to spend time with his family. He is fluent in four languages, including Spanish, Hebrew, and Italian.

Dr. Cohen is the best. ? very professional, very knowledgeable, friendly, and down to earth. In the waiting room, there was also a very interesting seminar going on, on the TV screen, which was actually given Dr. Cohen himself. ? was very, very interesting and entertaining. it was also displaying exercises to improve your vision every day. ? this place is the best you don’t wanna go anywhere else. ? highly highly recommended. ? it’s always a pleasure going to see Dr. Cohen.

I was seen by. Different provider, the office had a tv on with. Very super religious content, that is not appropriate to the eye doctor office! I don’t want to see a religious lesson on tv, that tell me what a horrible person I am, if I’m not a Jew!

Dr Cohen was not there for my appointment but another Dr ho was very nice and helpful. Also, the office staff were so helpful and patient with me as I was picking out new frames. I would definitely go back and recommend this place.

? I had an 11 AM appointment and arrived about 15 minutes before. Dr. Cohen’s office is very clean. His staff is attentive and kind. I didn’t have to wait very long which I appreciated. Dr. Cohen was personable and very professional. I’m weird about my eyes and he was able to calm me down and work through my idiosyncrasies to get my exam done. He is definitely my new ophthalmologist. No regrets. Thank God. ?

Only waited about 15 minutes. Had complete examination and very satisfied with Dr. Cohen’s service. I was getting progressive glasses Dr. Cohen personally fitted me for the progressive glasses. Staff was very friendly, they had my chart and insurance all ready before I got there so check-in was super fast. Excellent selection of frames.

I had such a great experience at Dr Cohen. It’s really rare to have a Dr who actually spends time with you and listens without rushing like a factory. He checked everything for me and explained everything he was doing.
There were no pushy up-sales, no unexpected charges or changes to anything I was quoted or asked about before coming in. I got both an eye glass and contact exam along with checking my eyes for other issues. The pricing is even better than the chain stores and you feel like you’re family from when you first walk in. ,
My only complaint is that I don’t have a reason to see him more often! I wish more doctors were like this. I absolutely recommend them for one stop shopping for your eyes.

Great doctor. Highly qualified and I would know because my father is now a retired optometrist! I would highly recommend Dr. Cohen. Very friendly and easy to talk to. The office did not get my appointment that I scheduled through Zocdoc. I had called to ask if I should send my records to the office prior to my appointment and they said they didn’t have record of my appointment and the Zocdoc appointments don’t make it into their system. So call the office to schedule an appointment.
