About Dr. Felicia Freeman
Dr. Felicia Freeman was born in Seattle, WA and grew up in the small west Texas town of Lamesa, TX.
She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Houston and her Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Houston College of Optometry. She completed externships at Sheppard Air Force Base in Wichita Falls, TX and at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Amarillo, TX.
Dr. Freeman has practiced all over Texas and just recently made the move from the Dallas-Fort Worth area to Austin, TX. She practices in a thorough, yet efficient, down to earth manner always striving to give her patients an unsurpassed experience and level of service.
Dr. Freeman fits a variety of contact lenses, provides diagnosis and treatment of eye diseases and disorders, and prescribes medications for eye infections, allergies, and dry eye. She provides diabetic eye exams and co-manages cataract and refractive procedures.
When not in the office, she enjoys getting her steps in on a good walking trail, listening to music, trying new recipes, and spending time with family.

Everything in the office went smoothly and the staff was friendly. My hesitation in recommending this dr to anyone else would be because she gave me some hard news about test results, and then showed no compassion for my concerns. She spoke quickly, and did not ask if I had questions. She was professional and thorough, but her bedside manner lacked empathy and that is why I would hesitate to recommend her to anyone.

I loved this experience all around! It's super straightforward. They take you from part 1 (check-in) to part 2 (eye exams) to part 3 (meeting with the doctor) to part 4 (discussing insurance and contacts/glasses) super seamlessly with little to no wait time. Everyone was very friendly and knowledgable, and I loved the doctor!

Unfortunately , the doctor that I booked the appointment with was not the one who saw me. I booked an appointment with Dr. Freeman, and another doctor (Dr. Liranzo) gave me the visit and diagnosis. I didn’t choose him, and don’t know his work. I chose Dr. Freeman. It’s unfortunate, but all too often, the doctors booked on Zocdoc are not the ones that you’re actually going to see. Patients should be very aware of this and call ahead to confirm who they will actually be seeing. I find it manipulative and dishonest, and hopefully Zocdoc fixes this fast.?

The smoothest visit to the optometrist! Night and day between the anxiety I felt vs the actual care. Dr. Felicia saw me almost instantly and really listened when I expressed issues with my eyesight. She understood me, listened, and even made sure we went over things more than once before signing off on my prescription.
The office staff were also incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, and had some good (and some cheesy) jokes to share!

I highly recommend this Optometrist. She was friendly, knowledgeable & thorough with my exam. I came to her after getting an eye exam a month earlier from a dr. at another office, in which the prescription I was given was very off. She was able to get me the correct prescription for my glasses. The office was clean & each staff member I experienced was friendly. I will continue to come her for my eyecare.
